I decided to make a new RP request thread. It's going to have most of the same RPs, but they will be spread out over multiple posts to make browsing them easier.

About me as an RPer: I love comedy, and at least a hint of romance, so I like to work both into my RPs. I tend to like to play OCs, but there are some cannon characters I feel comfortable playing. I'll list which cannons I think I can play for each RP genre. I'm okay with M/F and M/M pairings, but I would be willing to try F/F if you have a strong preference for it and/or a really good/interesting idea for it. I don't really like to RP my own pairings, if that makes sense, but in some instances I'd be alright with that if you don't want to play them for me. xd I'm also fine if you want to RP an OC. All of my ideas are open for tweaking and discussion...and I'm always up for RPing idea that aren't on here.

Anime RP Requests

Fruits Basket
Idea 1: Something akin to Tohru's situation (moving in as a maid/cook/whatever) except with an OC and at the main house. Perhaps as a nurse to Akito or something like that. I'm not sure, but those details can be ironed out later...
Idea 2: Another family with a different Zodiac curse gets involved with the Sohmas. Their curse is based on the Western Zodiac, and is activated by either being hugged by a member of the opposite sex or by hearing the word Zodiac or the sign they represent. Like the Sohmas, cursed family members don't activate it when they hug each other or say the words.
Idea 3: (A) An apprentice of some sort is hired on at Ayame's shop and winds up discovering the Sohma family secret. (B) A classmate of one of them is assigned to whoever the Sohma is as a partner for a project, and discovers the secret.
Who I Can Play: Hatori, Kisa, Tohru, Yuki. I could try some of the others, but these are the ones I've played with one success before. Also, I'd like to play an OC with whichever one we RP.


Ouran Hight School Host Club
Idea 1: A foreign exchange student transfers to Ouran and becomes uintertwined with the Host Club because her father is an associate of Kyouya's father(or one of the others' parents).
Idea 2: Mori or Hunny's younger sister transfers into Haruhi's class, and begins spending time with the Hosts.
Idea 3: Haruhi is discovered to be a girl, and she, as well as a small group of other girls, form a Hostess/Maid club, overseen/'protected' by the Hosts. Haruhi has to use her profits from the new club to try and pay back the rest of what she owes to the Host Club. (This idea could even mesh well with one of the other ideas.)
Who I Can Play: Hunny, Mori, Haruhi. I've never tried the others, so I'm not sure how good I'd be with them. Also, as above, I'd like to play some sort of OC.

Death Note
Not really a specific idea so much as a request. I'd love to play an OC paired with L. I always wind up playing L in RPs (even though I personally think I'm terrible at him) and would like to hand the reigns over to someone else for a chance to pair my character, Kay, with him. I would also prefer not to play Light, as I think I'm even worse with him, and would be willing to make this a non-Kira RP. If we set it at Whammy's house, I'd be willing to try Matt, and possibly Near or Mello, but not all three. Another bonus to Whammpy's House RP: More openings for OCs. ^^

Gravitation
(This got bumped up here since I find myself strongly wanting to RP it)
Idea 1: A new band pops up on the scene. Could be a duo, or a trio (I've got enough OCs to make the band if you don't want to play an OC musician). I'm thinking an all girl group signed to NG productions, but there's a little wiggle room there.
Idea 2: Tohma hires someone to help Bad Luck with their English in preparation for an upcoming tour. (Vague ideas...we can iron it out later). That person is a longtime friend of Nittle Grasper (in my original idea, she was K's younger sister, but again, there's wiggle room).
Who I Can Play: Shuichi, maybe Ryuichi and/or K if we're not going to get super serious with it. As is my norm, I've got OCs to play, and welcome other OCs. I tend to pair my character with Hiro, but I'm open to trying a new pairing idea if you have someone you'd rather play. ^^ I am all for the Yuki/Shuichi though. xD I've also learned I'm getting quite fond of Ryuichi/Shuichi, so either of those is okay with me too...as long as, in the case of RyuShu I don't have to play them both. xD

TV Show & Movie RP Requests

The Labyrinth
Idea 1: A different young woman (not Sarah) somehow gets involved with the Goblin King (either by sending a little bother/sister/cousin away or in a bit of a twist, by getting sent away herself by a younger relative who was just playing around). General Labyrinth-style hijinks ensue.
Who I Can Play: I'd most like to play the girl/some other OC and have someone else play Jareth. I may be willing to try to play various inhabitants of the Labyrinth, depending on what we do.

Doctor Who
Idea 1: General Doctor Who RP in which The Doctor (perhaps recently regenerated so there's the fun of giving him a new appearance.) takes on a new companion and goes about with his usual universe-saving.
Idea 2: A sort of AU in which either the Doctor, for some reason or another, or some other Time Lord(Lady?) has to hide out as a human on Earth, and has the sorts of strange dreams (memories of their life as a Time Lord) while trying to figure out what's going on, and perhaps solving some sort of problem in the world around them...could morph into that Time Lord finding their memories, gaining a companion and traveling, or something.
Idea 3: Another vague idea that randomly came to me, and will probably seem dumb when I think on it more, but yeah. xD Basically, a normal, everyday person encounters the Doctor/some other Time Lord/Lady repeatedly (over a short time for them, but possibly over years/several regenerations for the Time Lord) and finally, after getting some idea that it's the same person, gets dragged into some adventure, or something.
Idea 4: Taking one of the past Doctors and inserting/replacing a modern day (from the 2000's) companion. From there we could redo adventures from the series or make up our own.
Who I Can Play: It depends entirely on what idea we use. If it's going to feature the actual Doctor, I would prefer to play a companion (except for some of the older Doctors, who I think I could actually play decently). If it's going to have a different Time Lord/Lady, I could just as easily play them as I could the companion.

Sherlock
((To be clear, I specifically mean the modernized BBC series starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, though I may be willing to try something with the original book-verse characters.))
Idea 1: A friend/relative of either John or Mrs. Hudson shoes up and generally throws Sherlock off his game a bit.
Idea 2: John learns that Sherlock and Mycroft have a younger sister when she shows up to visit. See above throwing Sherlock off a bit and generally making things 'fun'. xD
Idea 3: My vaguest Sherlock idea yet. Basically, something with Moriarty, ANYTHING with Moriarty. Seriously, I love that character so much, we could do anything with him and I'd be happy. xD
Who I Can Play: Not Sherlock...maybe John. I think I'd do okay with Molly and Mrs. Hudson, but they probably wouldn't figure in much. I'd love to work an OC in, as my ideas suggest, if we could work out how. As for plot, we could either insert the characters into current episode plots, or maybe draw from some of the original stories...or make up our own. I could TRY Moriarty, but I'm really not sure how good I'd be at him. Still, I could try if you want. ^^

Once Upon A Time RP
No specific ideas here, except that I'd sort of like to do some sort of parallel with us creating a storyline in both the Enchanted Forest (as some sort of fairytale characters) and in Storybrooke (either before or after the curse is broken). It wouldn't have to strongly include cannons, but could if you wanted.

Grimm RP
Okay, so this is another show I adore, but don't really have any specific ideas for. I sort of had a vague idea for a character who was half Grimm, half Wessen of some sort...or perhaps the offspring of two different Wessen breeds, as that could be interesting. Again, it doesn't have be be strong in Cannon characters. Actually, I really like the idea of this taking place away from the action in the series...sort of letting us build our own fun in the awesome universe.
Who I Can Play: If you just want to include cannons, I think I can play Monroe and Juliette.

Other Shows/Movies I'm Willing to RP:(And Who I Can Play)
Phantom of the Opera: I'd rather play an OC with someone else playing movie Phantom, but I think I could play him with some sucess if need be. ^^

Book RP Requests

Phantom by Susan Kay
Basically, I'd like to insert an OC into Erik's life at some point, and see how things would've played out differently. I'd prefer to play the OC, but I think I could play a version of Erik, depending on when we insert the OC.

Sherlock Holmes
Not a specific idea, per sey, but I've been reading the complete works lately, and so I think it could be fun to do something within the original Victorian setting. Perhaps go a little AU and throw in something supernatural, just to see what Sherlock and Watson make of it. I think I could play Watson, but I'd really prefer to play an OC...perhaps a client or something. I know it's vague, but it's the best I've got at the moment.

Dresden Files
Pretty much, I read this book series (or at least most of it) and am interested in RPing it. We could either use Cannon characters, or set it in 'Dresden-verse' but use our own characters. No specific plot ideas yet, but...yeah.

The Hunger Games
Idea 1: An RP set in an AU timeline where the Rebellion failed after the Victor's Tour. The public bought the 'crazy in love' story, and life returns to its' miserable normalcy. Peeta and Katniss are forced to marry, serve as Mentors for future tributes from 12, and eventually President Snow pressures them into having children, as a means of once again asserting his power over Katniss's life. Because of this, the Hunger Games are still occurring, District 12 still stands, and 13's existence is still widely unknown. One of Katniss and Peeta's children is Reaped, and drawn into the games.
Idea 2: A general Hunger Games RP, telling the story of one of the first 73 games.
Idea 3: Could be combined with one of the other ideas, but I had a thought for a Quarter Quell. Something like "To show the rebels they'd be lost without the support of the Capitol..." And have the Capitol genetically modify the tributes, or inject them with something or something to give them special abilities before the Games (IE: Telekenesis or animal attributes, or something like that) with the Capitol intending to 'undo' it for the Victor after the games.
Idea 4: A backstory sort of RP, with characters like Finnick and Annie, or with some of the other Victors. Not actually including the Games the Victors were in, but telling their lives up to and/or after the Games.
Who I Can Play: Depends on what idea we do. I'd rather RP OCs, but depending on the idea, I may can do some of the cannons. ^^

Harry Potter
Again, nothing specific, and I don't want anything huge and involved. I'd like to play an OC during the Marauder Era, perhaps with some fun little interactions with MWPP. I'd like to attempt to pair the OC with Sirius, but that's not mandatory.

Fairy Tales:
And anything along those lines, really. Perpaps a Fairy Tale-inspired story with original characters, or with characters from an anime/movie/etc. I've also recently been on an Alice In Wonderland srtle kick, and would love to do something with an OC (or something) going to Wonderland, perhaps with a pairing with the Hatter in mind, or something like that. I know it ptobably sounds odd, but yeah. xD

Beauty And The Beast Style RP
This is the one that could be applied to an anime if you wanted. I don't want to use the exact characters from the movie, but rather I'd like take the plot, possibly spice it up a little, and toss in different characters. I'm fine with OCs entirely, or perhaps using other characters for an AU RP. The idea came to me after I read a Rurouni Kenshin fic where Kenshin had been a spoiled young lord who was cursed to turn into a dragon-man (all of his servants became talking animals) until the last glass petal falls from a sakura tree. If he finds love, and is loved in return, the spell will be broken, and if not, they will remain that way for all of eternity. He befriended Kaoru as a child, and she returns as a young woman. From there, the typical transformations take place. xD
Who I Can Play: Depends on which fandom we use, or if we use OCs. In general, I'd rather play the girl, but I think I could be persuaded to play the 'beast' too.

Generic Fantasy/Urban Fantasy
Nothing really specific here. I've been reading A LOT of urban fantasy lately (modern setting with magic, vampires, werewolves, etc.) I'm specifically interested in trying something with a Djinn (I think that's how it's spelled, anyway, it's basically a genie). I'd be willing to play either the genie (possibly male or female) or the 'master' (again, either gender), and generally toy around with ideas/our own 'rules' for the creatures. I'm also open to just about any other fantasy/urban fantasy aspects, really.

Generic J-Rock/Slice of Life RP:
So, a while back, Washi and I created some female OCs for a J-rock themed RP, and even though that fell through, I'd really like to do something else with that idea. It doesn't have to focus entirely on the musical aspect, and could also show their day-to-day lives. We could even throw in some supernatural elements to spice things up a bit (for instance, in one version of the RP we had vampires, werewolves, dragons, rabbit demons, all kinds of crazy-fun stuff).
Who I Can Play: I've got a few basic characters from the original incarnation of this RP, so depending on what you want to do, I've got characters that I can throw in. If you want details on my little OC base for this idea, just PM me and I'll fill you in. ^^

Crossovers
I'm always up for an interesting crossover idea. Pretty much anything I've mentioned above, or I'm more than a little familiar with is fair game in my mind. Some of them, like Doctor Who, lend themselves really well to crossovers, while we might have to work a bit harder at others, but I'm willing if you are. ^^

I love urban fantasy RPs, as those are where I started out. SO THAT MEANS WE SHOULD COME UP WITH SOMETHING. :> I have ten zillion characters for this genre, so I can easily have one of them buy/find/inherit the item the Djinn inhabits.

I just saw your post and...really? *happy dance of joy* I haven't really ever done much in the urban fantasy genre, but I read A LOT of it (the Djinn idea came from The Weather Warden series bt...I forgot her name. xD) If you're familiar with that series, I'm fine with using her rules (Djinn can be captive or 'free', captive Djinn have to be sealed in a glass bottle with a stopper, other stuff like that) or we can sort of tweak them and make up our own. ^^

But, as I said in the request, it doesn't have to be the Djinn story. I'm open to just about anything urban fantasy. ^^

Also, I've said it before, but I'll say it again: You're welcome to make a request thread like this if you want to. ^^ I just made this as a way to get my ideas down. xD

I will probably do a request thread later. I haven't read the series in question, but let's go with Djinn anyway as it gives us a starting point. I know your request said you were open ,but at this point in time do you have any really strong urges regarding gender/sexuality? Otherwise I will toss up a few of my characters and see if any take your fancy :3

Nope, no real preferences for gender/sexuality. I have more experience with straight or m/m pairings, but as I said, I'm up for trying anything. ^^

I've been trying to think which of my cast of characters may fit best into the idea, but they've mostly proven to be so adaptable that it's hard to say for sure. xD

James Fawcett. He's a were-coyote in his late thirties/early forties. church organist, recently moved to get away from scandal from his wild party-youth days. Although he likes people, he's pretty shy and reticent and doesn't like to get too close because he's worried that people won't like him when they get to know him. Also he tends to be a little flaky.
Ridwan Blalock. Late twenties/early thirties Were-owl and wannabe rock star, the band he's in got a lot of acclaim with their recent album. now if only they could stop partying long enough to write any new songs.

F/F
Chalina Noriega. She's a ghost hunter in her mid-thirties. Her parents didn't have a lot of money and she didn't do well in school, but she has a lot of passion and confidence. She also has zero sense of tact.
Sakhmet Richmond. The only non-magical child in a family full of magical children, she's always felt a bit isolated. It doesn't help that all her siblings are also boys. She's motherly and sweet, but also really enjoys going out dancing. Her passion is cooking.

M/F
Jad Al'Arfaoui. Early forties. He's a witch from Algeria. He moved to the United States after his sister, Sherine, was killed in the Algerian civil war of the nineties. He's smart, but also somewhat misguided and has joined up with a Shady Secret Society because they convinced him that (something relevant to whatever plot he's in) was behind the civil war.

Gizelle Buchanan. Late twenties/Early thirties. She's beautiful. She's deadly. She's a were-puffin priestess attempting to revive the dark were-puffin god with virgin sacrifices.

Nilanjan Prithvi. Late thirties/early forties. He's a trusting and naive alchemist/restaurant owner. Indian by way of Britain, he moved when it was discovered that the co-owner of a restaurant he owned was skimming funds.

M/F or M/M
Phineas Wheeler. He's a were-snake in his mid-twenties. He's recently begun working as a police officer, which is rather hilarious given that in his teen years he was really into punk rock and giving the finger to The Man. He's got a bit of a temper that he tries to keep in check due to his job, and he's a little cynical and sarcastic.

You keep this up, and Washi's losing her spot as my best friend. xD OCs are fine for the Beauty and the Beast RP. I'm not really sure how to do it with a modern or Sci-Fi setting (not to say it's not possible, my brain is just lagging at the moment) so I suppose a fantasy setting sounds fun. Would you rather be the 'beauty' or the 'beast'?

As for the Djinn RP...they all look like fun. xD Hmmm...they all really sound like fun, so it's a bit hard to pick one.

Okay, since you know your characters better than I do, I'll tell you sort of what I'm leaning toward for the Djinn, and you can tell me which one may fit the best. Gender can still be switchable if the Djinn would work better as a guy, but since the character I'm using for a template is a girl, we'll go with female pronouns for now, if that makes sense (it may not, like I said, laggy brain).

The character I had in mind as a template's name is Kay (which can be short for any number of things). Pretty much, she's short, blonde, blushy and cute. She's a bit shy/naive, but very caring/motherly/protective. As a Djinn, she'd be fairly gifted, but prone to small 'mishaps' with her magic (for instance, if her Master was in the bath, she might try to warm the water up for them and accidentally make it disappear). She's the sort who would want to do everything just right for her Master, and would probably be harder on herself when she messes up than they would. She loves to read, and is the sort to always have a book nearby. I could easily see her not being familiar with human technology and other day-to-day things.

Does she sound like she'd be a good fit with any of them? Or, ya know, a male version of her? xD

xD okay fantasy it is! you said you preferred the beauty role in your ad, so I will just go with that. Beast is fun :3 I will try and set something up when I am not exhausted (bby woke up at five this morning yaaaay)
