Name: Eri Haruto (my distant protector, my awake one) — (Seishi name: Huo)
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Position: Seishi
Symbol and location: Stride - Located on his right shoulder.
Power: Elemental, fire and speed
FIRE:
Fire walls: He can summon a wall of fire and depending on the intensity or the battle it can range form simply stopping someone from getting closer to being a truly deadly weapon in order to protect those he is ordered to. This ability is the one he has mastered with ease and the one that drains the most energy form him so he uses it with moderation and also does not always use it with great intensity.
Fireballs: Eri can cast fireballs in the middle of a fight and it does not require that much energy. Of course the bigger the fireballs the more exhausted he becomes. This is one of the reasons that, being a samurai, he prefers to use his weapons rather than his Seishi skills.
SPEED:
Eri discovered that another skill he earned as a Seishi was great speed, it is because of this that he is a deadly foe in battle and whenever he is summoned for assassination. This is the easiest to master skill and the least one to exhaust him, however if he is already tired he rather not use it to win the battle at hand.
Weapon: Eri has two weapons of choice, one of them being the katana he himself made after years of perfecting the art of blacksmithing and the pole arm given to him the moment he entered under the service of the royal samurais of the Empire of Sailo.
Birthplace: Sailo
Affiliation: Byakko
Appearance:
Eri Haturo has very long hair that reaches to his shins and it is lightly curled. The colour os of a red variety of bright copper almost burnt orange and he mainly ties it on a long high ponytail. His eyes match the peculiarity of his silken hair and are of a gold colour that shines deeply when enraged. He is rather tap standing at 6’0 and though he is not heavy due to his current position as a samurai his body is rather fit and muscular. Despite living in the land of Sailo his body never lost its golden tone, never darkening too much as it happened with most people from the area.
He usually wears light brown boots to his knees and deep blue trousers and shirt which also has purple in it. Underneath the shirt he has a sleeveless light green shirt. He also uses samurai chest armour, but he wears a white vest on top tied with a golden chain and a small red chord and a lighter red belt. The later represents his status as a royal samurai and his rank in such. Usually he has his katana on its sheathe tied to his belt and his pole arm is usually on its sheathe on his back.
Personality:
Silent and distant: Coming from a humble family it took Eri a very long time to adapt to the way of life of the samurai and one of the things that he developed was a fondness to silence and peace, with that he got distanced from the rest of persons since he never enjoyed the noise and havoc of a greatly populated city and in the desert, the music he enjoyed was the one created by nature. This makes him appear as cold, emotionless and too silent for enjoyable company and so even his fellow samurai, although they aid him in battle, tend to keep to themselves and seldom talk to him or disturb his peace of mind. And though this lone wolf at times feels the need to talk to someone, he accepts this situation concentrating on his job and the well being of the kingdom. Despite his peaceful demeanour he is quick to anger especially when the safety of those he swore to protect is at risk, then he turns into the enemy's nightmare and does not desist until the victims are safe from harm.
Cold yet warm: Despite the well-earned reputation, since a samurai in al its senses is not mostly valued as a person the general populace smiles to and trusts, Eri can be cold in battle and whenever he needs to be but deep inside he does care for the kingdom and the safety of the people. A man of few words he often fails to express these feelings properly and prefers to simply do his job to the best of his ability in the hopes that one day someone will understand this his language of the heart. He also protects his fellow brothers at arms in battle and would risk his own life for any of them as he values greatly every life in this world. That is also another reason he at times feels the guilt of spying an opponent.
Cunning and wise: Having lived among the royal samurai helped Eri expand his knowledge on warfare and philosophy. This granted him a great mind and he is often consulted on plans and tactics and his ideas seldom fail. He is also wise and would not hesitate in sparing a life if he can still obey an order without the need to shed blood. Also, being an assassin it means he has good knowledge on poisons and remedies having lean red the use of many during his training.
History:
Eri Haruto was born in a bordering town of Sailo and left by the entrance of the house of a blacksmith and his wife. They were nice people and took him in without hesitation and they taught him everything they knew about life and honour and wisdom. Eri inherited his love for the written word from his adoptive mother Akane and his passion for the order of the samurai of the Empire form his adoptive father Hyuga. He was tad from a very early age that he was adopted and out of appreciation to the both of them he fought to become the best at everything he did. It was during his childhood that he made friends with Akhram and both promised each other to enter the royal samurai and honour their family.
It was during that time when they were old enough to make the tests for the samurai that Eri noticed his good childhood friend Akhram began to change all of a sudden and he was cold, sarcastic and spiteful. This was one of the reasons Eri grew coldtoward others and distant. It was the treason of a long-time friendship that made his heart bitter and though he still loved his adoptive parents dearly the constant reminder that he was abandoned as a child made him try and concentrate on being the best samurai and doing his job properly not for anyone else but for himself.
From the moment he joined the samurai, which was three years before Akhram was ever admitted, he noticed that his friend seemed rather jealous of him and he would use any opportunity or occasion to insult him or humiliate him or get him to be expelled form the samurai but to his luck, one day that he spied on him going to the gardens and had shot him a poisoned dart, Eri sensed him and turned quickly and in an attempt to save himself he raised his hand and a light fire wall covered him and burned the arrow before it even reached him, some samurai witnessed this and he was taken before the royals of the Empire and he was told he was a Seishi and though he was a samurai of the Empire his job would be protecting the miko the moment she arrived to their world. And for that sole purpose he worked harder than anyone else and grained better knowledge and wisdom.
But he also lost part of himself that day. The fact that a man he had called friend tried to kill him and betray him so many times ate at him and he grew colder and more silent and his sarcasm also resulted form such sorrowful event. That moment he decided to watch Akhram carefully realising he was not a samurai out of love of the country but greed in fact that is how he became a General, he turned out to be just as wicked as the rest of his family. Nothing good ever came from people like that. And so Eri always stopped Akhram whenever he caught him red-handed and he was unable to have anyone expel him for being the son of a wealthy noble. Who would believe the words of an adopted blacksmith as opposed to those of a child of power?
It did not matter, he concentrated on enhancing his skills and Seishi abilities and gave in to his one hobby, horseback riding. His black Azteca horse is called Ku since he is fast as the wind when they ride in the desert.
Important NPCs: Akhram Link to his looks, a fellow royal samurai who wormed his way to become a General.
