1. Telepathy: Riko has the ability to transmit thoughts or feelings to others with the use of her psi, without any need for words or movements or actions that could carry out the message for her. She can do this with people who are not too close to her, in fact she can use it to cover great distances and she worked hard to ensure she could stand the draining of energy and mental effort. At first it would leave her with great headaches or she would pass out for a few minutes, but with practice she became quite good at it and seldom got tired when using it and now she can use it on longer distances, if she thinks of the person she wishes to transmit something she can, although, the further away the person the harder it is, even with practice so she is careful not to exceed herself, after all she is still learning about her Seishi abilities.

2. Telekinesis: This Seishi also has the ability to influence physical systems with no physical interaction. She can lift objects, both animate and inanimate, and affect their movements or the fall. This ability takes up a bit more energy than telepathy although she also practiced the moment she discovered she could do this. The bigger the object or creature she wished to move the greater the effort but she always recovered from energy loss. One day, when she saw a young child trying to escape a bandit, without thinking she closed her fist tightly and focused her eyes on his throat and she imagined her mind pressing on his vocal cords and the man soon fell to the ground gasping for air and Riko, scared, opened her hand and realised her abilities were not only limited to moving things but also affecting them from within.

3. Visions: Riko has the ability to see things that happened in the past, things that are happening at presence and things that may yet come to pass. However, she has no real control over this and it does not happen whenever she wishes to see something. She can be simply doing anything in the middle of a day or night and the vision would take place. Usually a beam of white light surrounds her and her Seishi symbol shines and her deep dark blue eyes shine with a silver-light and as she sees things she can speak of what she sees. Usually she is in a state of trance when that happens and is completely helpless and only when the vision fades is she released from it. This is the one skills that drains the most energy out of her, especially since she could not practice for it was something that came to her at any one time.

Weapon: Spear: Riko does not know how to wield this weapon yet nor does she has it with her, but with time this is the weapon she will master. Which is why I thought it a good idea to mention it even when this fact is yet to happen. It is a long spear with a curved pommel and a sharp blade with a curved edge. The weapon of a foot soldier and yet it can be much easier to handle and used to protect yourself when in close combat.

Riko stands at 5’7, not too tall but not too short either for a woman. She is thin but not to the point where she could break if she was being held, her body is rather fit due to the things she used to do in her life such as tame horses and look after them and she would also help her elder brother with his martial arts practices alongside the art of tending to horses, however, she never learned to protect herself and rather only earned great speed and flexibility from this and the fitness that kept her going all these years. It could be said she had a healthy and happy life and that ensured she grew physically and emotionally. However, most would not easily tell since few expect a woman to be so active, it renders her comfort though, especially at hard times.

She has long dark blue hair that reaches to her mid-thigh and it is mainly tied in a long and tall ponytail with a red ribbon and her fringe decorates her face evenly and graciously. She has pale white skin despite the many years she spend outdoors working with horses and the like. It is also strange for a person from Sailo, but well not everyone was affected the same way by the sunlight. Despite the graciousness of her facial expression and natural beauty, her deep dark blue eyes hold a certain sadness in them, like that of a melancholic beauty. Yet there is great kindness in her and it is greatly portrayed in her radiant face and the way she carries herself with dignity.

She usually wears a dark brown tunic with white edges on the sleeves and golden icons on the sleeves as well. She has light brown arm protectors tied with light blue ribbons and her inner shirt is violet with golden laces and white sleeves that close around her wrists. She has long white trousers that merge down on her light brown goths that reach to her knees. She has a light orange belt that moulds her clothes to fit her rather feminine body and at times she wears a long navy-blue cloak though she seldom uses it, it can always come in handy.

Personality:

Riko is a very sweet person and a gentle soul. She cares deeply for those she loves and even those who do not. If she had her wish she would make everyone in the world happy, she believes that is one of the means to obtain peace. She likes pleasing others and making them smile and is a wise young girl for her age. She is rather cheerful and tolerant and is a good listener when others need to release their frustrations and despair and renders them good advice, guidance and support. It is this quality of hers that makes her approachable and warm for others and makes her shine the brighter. It is almost as if she were always looking ahead of everyone else and, like her Seishi symbol implied, she would ‘rise’ like the sun or the stars one day.

Despite her gentle attitude and the support she renders others, Riko is rathe unsure of herself at times, especially when she finds herself in trouble and cannot escape it. Since she was never trained to protect herself she is aware of her vulnerabilities despite her Seishi skills and fears becoming a target of an evil plan due to her powers. She knows terrible people exist and has seen the effects of destruction on others. But she would never want her abilities to be used to hurt others, especially those she loves. And so, she lives with this unknown and uncomfortable fear that, one day her skills will be rather well known and someone might want to use them for their own selfish ends. This makes her at times feel unworthy of her powers and she wishes she was much stronger and determined.

She is a bit silent at times and finds it hard to know how to react when in the company of others, particularly those she does not know or great crowds. She tries to avoid them whenever possible and prefers to listen at times rather than speak. She enjoyed the comfort of the forest and the creatures that inhabit it and she had a gift with animals, they warm up to her easily, especially horses.

History:

Born in a small village near Sailo, Riko was a very happy child and she transmitted that joy to every living being, be it man or beast. Her mother and father inspired their children to be eel educated and fond of books, knowledge and wisdom. Riko also developed an excellent sense of direction and navigation and could memorise a map just by looking at it once, she adores geography and maps and is thrilled whenever she comes across someone who has travelled much dreaming to one day travel herself and see the world with her very eyes. She also loves the ocean and would love going on a ship one day. She has a rather adventurous spirit alike her elder brother Rioga. And this alongside many other things bonded the siblings deeply and prepared them for the future to come. From a very young age her father discovered her innate talent with animals and taunt her all he knew about the tending of horses and he was well known all around the kingdom. In fact even the Emperor himself would purchase horses tamed and trained by Riko’s father. And the family seemed to prosper and live in happiness but that was not to last, as nothing in this life ever did.

Not long after Riko began to discover her Seishi skills, people began to talk about her and some approached her parents to try and bribe them to sell them their daughter and even the Emperor showed great interest in having her sent to the palace where she could wait for the other Seishi and the miko. But Rioga spoke with the emissary and convinced him that she could never be safer anywhere but with her family and that as a young child she should be allowed to grow like any normal child with those she loved. That said, no one ever approached the family again but that did not mean they would not try to. So, as long as Riko remained with her family no one would ever be safe and so Rioga trained harder than ever and asked Riko to help him practice so that he could ensure the whole family would be safe and she was not taken away from them.

But, one day, when Riko and Rioga returned from a small contest where he had won the medal, they found the house destroyed and their parents lying on the living floor dead. Riko was eight then… And the scene was so shocking to her it took Rioga a very long time to get her to talk again and from that moment on she seldom spoke unless necessary but she soon warmed up to her brother once more. Regarding others, however, she is rather silent and it takes her too much effort to open up to others. Their parents had been killed in order to get to Riko and the young Seishi felt completely responsible for their deaths. Her brother suffered greatly the loss of their parents but more importantly the sudden change in his beloved and cheerful sister and hoped that one day, maybe, someone would help him get her back completely.

Thanks to his supernatural fighting skills and reflexes he ensured to look after his sister from the early age of seventeen. He provided for them, worked hard to ensure they scorched nothing and they looked after each other since no one else would. Their bond strengthened deeply and they were happy once more, just fora moment and that moment was gone. One day, someone knocked at their door and they went to see who it was, a noble lord had been found injured by their doorstep and they took him in and tended to his wounds and nursed him back to health hoping he would soon be on his way, what they did not know was that this was, Kuno, one of the most self-centred men in the whole empire and when he learned of her Seishi abilities he decided from that moment on to visit the siblings often and engage them in unnecessary conversations hoping that one day he would either claim Riko’s heart and manipulate her or rather force her to marry him so that he could use her powers to satiate his thirst to be at a higher stand in the ladder. Needless to say, Rioga never liked the man and would ensure to be with Riko whenever that man was in their company, however, it was not always possible and the young man worried more and more with each passing day, that one day he would be unable to shelter her from the darkness Kuno seemed to keep luring Riko into.

Important NPCs: Rioga, he is Riko’s older brother, he is twenty-six and protects his sister with zealous fervour being the only family he had now. Both look after one another. He teaches younger lads to fight and he has his own smithy. He can also be hired as a bodyguard when need be to earn extra coins.

Kuno, he is a noble of Sailo who wants nothing more than all the power he can encompass and so he makes use of every single moment Riko is on her own and makes the best of every opportunity to try and claim her affections and would even go to the point of forcing her to marry him if he had, her powers would be of great use to him.
