Human Name: Chisetsu Nakunaru
Fiend Name: Ignorance
Gender: Female
Powers/Abilities: Dolls: Ignorance can turn other people into living ‘dolls’. These dolls are small living versions of their ‘human’ forms, about the size of a child's rag doll or teddy bear. They look like any other doll until one looks closely enough to see them blink or move. They can still talk, blink, and make small movements, but they cannot walk, eat, etc. They do feel pain, and can be hurt. If a doll talks too much, or says things Ignorance doesn’t like, she sews their mouths shut. She only keeps one doll at a time. If something is ‘wrong’ with the doll, or she tires of it, she’ll find someone she thinks will make a perfect new doll and transforms them, killing her old doll, usually in a very violent way.
Earth/Stone Manipulation: ignorance can manipulate the element earth. Most often, she causes the ground to go from solid to marshy, often drowning her opponents. She can also crush people inside coffins of earth/stone, summon stone weapons from the ground, and cause chasms to appear in the ground.
Summoning: Ignorance has the ability to summon lesser earth and animal spirits and control them so an extent. She often sees them as a means of entertainment when in her Chisetsu personality, but when in her Taowu personality, she is more likely to use them as tools which are to be discarded once they are no longer useful.
Speed/Teleportation: Ignorance has the ability to teleport limited distance. It as to be somewhere she has been before, and it has to be within 100 miles or less of where she started. She also has the ability to travel in short bursts of inhuman speed. Both use a good amount of energy, and so she only uses them occasionally.
Personality: To put it simply, Ignorance’s personality is split in to two different entities which inhabit the same mind and body. One personality, ‘Chi-chan’ is very childish. She refers to herself in third person, and looks at everything as one big game where she makes, and can break the rules. She likes to play games, make flower chains and other child-like things. Although her personality seems bright and bubbly, she is prone to tantrums, the most sever of which will cause her to change personalities. She uses her powers in this personality, but it’s not quite as devastating as when she is in her other personality, which she calls ‘Tao-chan’ (Short for Taowu, Ignorance’s Chinese name.) She enjoys toying with her opponents, never using her full potential in battle. She doesn’t look to make friends, as she feels Taowu is the only friend she needs, but instead looks only for new ‘playthings’.
Her other, darker personality, Taowu, is quite sadistic. She refers to herself in the plural first person (‘we’) because she is basically the embodiment of the individual souls that fused to create the Fiend in the first place. Although this personality still looks at life as a game, it is a much darker game with no rules, except that whatever she says goes. She is violent, bloodthirsty and takes joy in others’ pain and misfortune. She is, however, quite protective of the more innocent personality, ‘Chisetsu’. Should anyone upset that personality, Taowu will see to it that they lose their lives. She is more likely to play ‘dirty’ compared to her other personality, but she doesn’t like to finish her opponent quickly. She only seriously goes in for the kill if she grows bored with the battle, or feels they may actually stand a chance against her.
Both personalities are fully aware of the thoughts and actions of the other personality, and often communicate with one another.
Appearance: Ignorance has the appearance of someone in their mid to late teens. She has golden blonde hair that, when loose, hangs to her lower back, but she keeps it pulled up in high pigtails. Her eyes are a Sapphire blue when she is ‘Chisetsu’, but they turn a blood red when she is ‘Taowu’. She stands at about 5’1”, and is slender and feminine in build. Her skin is tan from all her time spent ‘playing’ outside. She typically wears brightly colored qipao which are short, coming a few inches above her knees, and have long, wide flowing sleeves. She also wears tall leather boots which come just below her knees.
Feelings Toward Gods: As Chisetsu, she sees the Main Gods as big bullies, but doesn’t really care about the minor Gods. As Taowu, she detests the Main Gods, Genbu specifically, and hates any minor Gods that associate themselves with her sworn enemies.
Feelings Toward Other Fiends: As Chisetsu se views them as older siblings, hoping they can all work together for their common goal. As Taowu, she knows the other Fiends would betray her in a minute, and so, although she still works with them when she must, she doesn’t make the mistake of trusting them, and would kill any of them without a second thought.
Feelings Toward Miko/Seishi: Chisetsu views them as potential playmates, and regrets that Taowu won’t let her make dolls out of any of them. Taowu feels sorry for them, recalling how naive and blinded she and her seishi(from all of the collective Miko souls) were by the gods. She doesn’t blame them and wants to save them from sharing her fate. She will, however, kill them if they harm Chisetsu or stand in her way.
Anything Else: Chisetsu grew up as a very happy, normal little girl, spending her days playing with her best friend, Kana. When she was five, she targeted and possessed by Ignorance, who wanted to lay low until her powers could mature. Everything seemed fine at first, until she learned Kana’s parents had planned to move away. She was so upset, and wanted to keep her friend near that she accidentally turned her into one of her living dolls. Soon after, her mother approached her and upon seeing what had happened, panicked, calling Chisetsu a monster. Chisetsu was so distraught at how her mother was acting that it cause her other dormant personality to surface for the first time. Taowu killed Chisetsu’s mother, and convinced the girl to leave. Taowu convinced her younger, more innocent personality that she was the only friend she needed. Chisetsu kept the Kana doll for some time, but Taowu eventually grew tired of the child’s whining and crying, and killed the doll, convincing Chisetsu it was best to get a new doll, and sew their mouths up if they talked too much.
