Taiitsukun is known as "The Creator of the Universe of the Four Gods" and writer of the books that summon Miko to their world. She is older and wiser than anyone else, and looks the part. In the original Fushigi Yuugi series, she served as a benefactor of sorts to Miaka and her Seishi, helping them out more than once.
Her various nicknames include: Tentai (The Creator) and Sunukake Baba (Sand Witch)
Nyan Nyans are Taiitsukun's child-like helpers. Actually small goddesses, the Nyan Nyans specialize in healing any injury or problem, offering to fix both Taiitsukun's face (as she is old and rather ugly) and Nuriko's 'perversion' (as he dresses like a woman). Their bodies are also capable of serving as vessels for the spirits of the dead.
