Beast taming: Ever since he was fairly young, Rumaty had a way with the beasts. He could easily sense their emotions and tame them but never in order to govern them or harm them but rather to protect them and receive their aid in exchange. He always enjoyed the wildlife and fought to protect it when he lived in the Palace and at times asked his brother to ensure he would be sensitive toward nature and the habitat when he reached the age to be the Emperor. This skill ensured he came out of dangerous situations alive especially when his life was threatened due to the succession to the throne. The moment he decided to leave the palace and roam the world in search for innocents in need, he became even more in touch with the wild creatures and learned much more about them and began to understand them more easily. At times they even helped him go undetected by others passing by and they also led them to people who needed help. They became his family away from home and he protected them in exchange for their aid and for his fondness for the helpless creatures. That is why he would never consent lifting a hand to harm animals without knowing the reason for their behaviour. He learned animals were pacific creatures unless disturbed.
Ninjutsu: From his mother’s side, there was a culture of partaking in the ninjutsu martial art even though this was only used by shinobi (ninjas) and so this art was not applauded by some member of the court but that did not stop Rumaty from carrying out the family tradition and learn a martial art that seemed to suit him much more. Since his bodybuilder was not overwhelming nor too strong but fit enough for such martial arts, he showed the members of court it was also a skill to be appreciated since he was lighter of foot and also much faster. He was so good at it they soon had to find him foreign tutors and sparring buddies, even though he also enjoyed challenging his step-brother to a fair duel. Despite what everyone thought, this art helped him calm down at key moments. This is because whenever he has to concentrate and coordinate his whole body as one single movement he relaxes and flows like the elements. He likes to be as close to nature and wildlife as possible so he acquires traits from some animals as it convenient for him, for example, through ninjutsu he managed to learn to camouflage like a wolf.
Weapon mastery: Although he trained several weapons during his time in the palace, his favourite ones are a bow and a long battle axe that he perfected in use. He also carries a small katana and a few throwing knives with tranquillising drugs in the edges in case he needs to make a run for it. However, most of the time he faces a battle head on. His skill with the battle axe is truly good and it helps him with his current position as a bodyguard. Even though he is no shinbone nor samurai he still abides most of the code of honour and stands up to this day to help those in need. He never expects anything in return but most times they can reward his efforts. It is true, after all, that he does need to earn a living. So he gladly accepts whatever others give him.

Bow: Rumaty has an excellent aim which has been seldom challenged within and outside of Kutou, however, he is always willing to prove his skill whenever someone believes to have a better skill at it. It is one of the things he practices the most and he has excellent marksmanship. It helps him keep the enemy at bay and also hunt for food whenever necessary, although, he prefers to leave nature alone, whenever he cannot help it he seeks the old beasts in order to allow the younger ones to live and reproduce. He enjoys shooting form different angles and on horseback and even shoots more than two arrows at the same time always keeping the desired aim. In the past he would tease his older brother Shun with shooting apples on top of his head, he never missed though and he always ended up sharing help of the apple to make it up for the tease.
Battle axe: Rumaty has a long battle axe that he learned to master with years of training and perfecting his skill. It is his main weapon of chose on close combat. It allows him enough distance form the opponent to move freely should he need to keep a customer away form threat and it is a weapon he can dextrously use in order to avoid harming the opponent should he wish to. It is rather heavy for most persons but his arms soon got used to swinging it and making sure of the movement to increase the intensity and speed of his attacks. It could be said he learned to use it as part of his own body and the contact practice also mad this arms strong enough to handle it with the ease of someone picking a feather.
Throwing knives: Being an errant bodyguard, he learned various techniques, one of them was the ability to use his aim on throwing knives, he experimented the use of a drug that could immobilise an opponent and even render him unconscious though not for long. Sometimes he needed to flee the battlefield in order to keep a customer safe and so this technique came in handy at such times. However, being a proud man that sticks to the code of honour it eats him inside whenever he has to run away from a battle. Many associate this skill with the shinobi and his knowledge and use of ninjutsu only makes him even more suspicious. Some at times mistaken him for an assassin rather than a bodyguard.

Playful but serious: Rumaty is the kind of man who can be general quite the joker and playful but when seriousness calls he keeps his cool. In a way he knows when to fool around and when not to. He can be at times silly when he teases but he never has any ill intent and usually the persons he loves to tease the most are his loved ones or friends. This trait never died out even when he left the palace to keep his siblings safe. It helps him remember happier times related to when he was young and carefree.
Kind but stoic: Rumaty has a good hand and that is mainly thanks to his brother Shun, however, when he had to be cold and stoic he has no trouble doing so. There is that side of him that wishes to aid others but that detests those who expect him to solve all their problems. While he does like to help others and ensure their safety he can only do so much. He struggles between his sense of duty and what he truly thinks is right and at ties does not know how far he can get involved with others. How much can a person forgive and how much can you believe?

Rumaty stands at 6'1", he is a tall man by the standards of his mother's family line and he has slightly chestnut tased skin due to his mother's side and the amount of time he spends wandering in the wild. He has a strong lean body due to his extensive training and passion for fitness, especially as a Prince and now bodyguard, he wants to make sure he is always ready to protect his charges and fight the men who, even now, still wish to claim his life.

Rummy was born a Prince of the Emperor of Kutou, through his arrange marriage with the noble lady Isis. He had a happy childhood and his mother taught him to love his siblings even if they did not have the same mother. He grew up being schooled alongside his brother Shun and that helped them make an unbreakable bond. Even after he left the palace that bond was still there. And it proved useful whenever either was in trouble.
Rumaty never wanted the throne allowing his brother to take it instead, what he did want was to stay in the palace and help his brother and sisters. But soon two fractions emerged, the one in favour of Shun being the emperor and the one that wanted to force Rumaty to claim the throne. This began in the form of arguments but soon developed into violence and there came a moment when they were all in danger. At such uncertainty Rumaty packed his things and decided to become a travelling bodyguard and keep his family safe. He decided to sacrifice his heart in order to protect his loved ones but that does not stop affecting him even as he now stands.
It is true that through travelling he expanded his horizons and met new people and learned new things but the emptiness of not being with his family would at times tore his heart. There was no going back, and if he went to visit for a time it made leaving much harder and so unless he really needed to he avoided returning to the palace and to his beloved family. He is happy to protect them, however, their absence will weight heavy on his heart and will be one of the reasons he will constantly struggle between kindness and foolishness.
