appearance: In her human form Haruhi stands at an average height of 5’7’’and has light soft skin. Albeit due to her trailing and kitsune fitness her body is fit her body is still slender and elegant. She has long copper hair that usually falls on cascades behind her shoulders and she tends to comb it with two half pony tails fastened by a red broach each, a gift from her beloved mother. She has piercing blue eyes that seem to grasp much more than people would expect. She usually wears a travelling kimono that consists of a shirt with a slightly revealing neckline that she straps around herself with an elegant leather chest armour for protection should she need to escape danger and a skirt that reaches just above her knees and leggings underneath that match her attire and enable her to wear leg armour and boots. She ears wrist pads for protection as well as to hide the slightly copper markings typical of her kitsune lineage. She also wears a long cloak to protect her from harsh elements. If she is to perform, however, she has a lovely one-piece kimono that she wears that accents her figure and matches her eye and hair colour. It falls slightly below her shoulders highlighting her beauty and slightly flirtatious nature as she is one of the kitsune.

In her fox form her fur is of a lovely soft snow white colour and she has deep blue eyes that have a light of their own. Beautiful copper tones decorate her eyelashes and the tips of her nine tails. There are also some beautiful copper markings on her paws which symbolise her family lineage. At night she looks to have an ethereal glow about her.

EVERYTHING'S INSIDE
powers: Haruhi has the below powers due to her kitsune nature and family lineage and they are listed in order of priority and effort:

Shapeshifting - Haruhi can turn into anything found in nature, such as trees, rocks, water, animals or other people. It is the easiest ability she possesses and the one that uses the least bit of energy. Besides, due to her kitsune nature, she enjoys the playful nature of such skill and appreciates how useful it can be when in danger.

Fox-fire - She can create three small blue ‘fox lanterns’ floating around her to be able to see in the night and for them to guide her way. These lanterns are harmless and do not require much energy. In the middle of a fight she can create blue fireballs to protect herself and these can vary in size.

Illusion - Haruhi can create up to three illusions at one time, the illusions are as real as anything that can be crafted or found in nature, thus it becomes difficult to tell from the real thing. She can cast illusions through what she wishes to portray in her mind, thus she needs to focus for a little bit in order to create the illusions. If she were with another kitsune, it is most probable they could create a few more illusions but that is mainly because she would not be on her own using up her own energy. Otherwise she sticks to three as she does not want to waste energy that might come in handy in an emergency.

Seduction - Haruhi can use her tails in a swaying manner or her gaze in order to take over the mind of her opponent. While under her control, the opponent sees, thinks and lives in a world designed by Haruhi inside the target’s mind. This ability requires a bit more energy than creating the illusions so she does not use it as often but, she ensures to keep her abilities up to date, under her control and ready to use should the need arise.

Elemental: Water - As a member of the Inui clan and due to the power inherited by her father, Harahi can control elemental water. There are two main skills that are divided into two symbols which cannot be used at the same time, each symbol shines on her forehead, the river symbol enables her to create water or call upon the creatures that live in water. She can provide healing with this skill. The ocean symbol is a more powerful skill where she can summon storms, floods and her basic river skills to a greater extent.

abilities: Haruhi is quite proficient with the shamisen, as its her means to earn a living, she began learning the craft when she was a young girl. She also has a singing voice that has often been compared to that of nightingale, which helps make her a successful bard. She is also an avid huntress due to her kitsune nature and in an attempt to keep her clan safe, so she ensured to perfect these skills alongside with an affinity with archery. She practiced for years until she was told to have reached a good feel of marksmanship and thus she prefers to fight from a distance.
weapons: Haruhi mainly fights with her kitsune powers, however, she is also an avid archer and can shoot from various distances and in different stances, but she also keeps a knife hidden in her boot should the need arise.
strengths: Haruhi is a powerful kitsune, particularly due to her family lineage that enabled her to inherit most cannon powers alongside the water elemental skill. She has been taught how to use them for years and so she had become quite proficient. She is particularly good with the elemental skills but she has also learned great wisdom to judge each situation accordingly and avoid a catastrophe due to such power. She is also a talented song writer and due to her trailing and network she hears of the latest news, stories and legends that ensure she has fresh songs and stories to tell in order to become well known and keep her business going. She is a free spirit most happy when in nature but she has learned the hard way to be careful in her surroundings.
weaknesses: Albeit a powerful kitsune, there are limitations to her power and magical skills. For example, regarding shapeshifting, unless she uses her illusions, Haruhi cannot shape into a person that she has already used her mind-control skill on. Which means, for the most part, she cannot use more than two skills at once for most of her skills require great concentration… If using her foxfire skills she has to ensure to be in control, thus she avoid treating fire balls that are so great they would have an impact on nature or that would take up a lot of her energy as she could easily lose control or be vulnerable to attacks and be unable to protect herself. Furthermore, if she is using a skill such as seduction any physical attack or lose of concentration can break the spell, some wards can also be used for such purposes. When using her elemental magic powers she is very mindful of the amount of energy she uses and how great the spell is. It is one of the reasons she avoids using the ‘ocean’ symbol for its such a powerful spell she could lose control, or use up all her energy or even lose herself and become trapped in that strong force of nature. Haruhi is scared of getting close to others due to something that happened a few years ago and so she at fights might be a bit distrustful and sky. However, she is incredibly curious due to her fox nature.

personality:

Haruhi is a rather shy person when it comes to meeting other people. This trait was developed due to an incident that befell her some years ago. She could not trouble others with the specifics of what happened and believes that everyone has their own burdens to carry. And so she hides her own burdens and fears as best as she can and just gets on with her life. It is comforting, however, living with her clan and her father tries to be as supportive as possible. Despite this trait and the sadness she sometimes experiences, she is generally cheerful and full of life, this side of her is only visible with the clan members she is the closest to, family and her best friend Rishiara. It could be said that the shyness is sued as a defensive mechanism adopted after the traumatic events of her past. Unfortunately, she has been unable to recover completely because the being that caused all this suffering is constantly stalking her as if waiting for the right opportunity to bring her more misery once more. It makes her weary of strangers and keeps her on edge. She seldom lowers her guard because of this.

She is a very compassionate person regarding the troubles of others, despite the traumatic experience she could not stop herself from remaining true to herself. Therefore, if she ever sees any creature or person in trouble, she is most likely to come to their aid in the safest way possible unless she learns that they are twisted beings that mean her or anyone else harm. She can be very protective of those she helps and, for the most part, will not leave unless she knows they are safe and can go on their separate ways. This has strengthened her connection with nature and its living beings and thus she decided she would need use any of her powers to harm others if it could be prevented. There are exceptions to this rule, for example the traumatic event in her life where she had to try and defend herself and whenever a being is causing harm to others and no intervention could prove dire for those who are in pain. Needless to say, she also has a fondness for animals and plants and whenever possible she cares for them.

Her senses are awake and ready, if the need arise she could act instinctively in order to protect herself and others and her ranged skills ensure that, for the most case, the enemies can’t locate her at first. She developed this awareness after her traumatic experience in an attempt to fight back the urge to give in to the darkness that befell her. It could be said that she is determined to keep going out of respect to her parents, her clan and herself. If she allowed her foe to succeed then she would need get up again and she would be unable to fight to break free and though he is constantly following her footsteps and she sometimes shivers in fear feeling him closely, she knows that someway she will be strong enough to break free from the chains of this fear and come out victorious over him. This determination sometimes makes her a fierce opponent in battle and she has no problem using her powers if the opponent is deserving of some punishment. If others could not defend themselves then she would aid, when possible.

history:

Haruhi was born on the outskirts of Mount Taikyoku, at the time her clan lived in the area. There, when she was five years old, she met a young boy called Taka, his family seemed to be trailing to the temple at Mount Taikyoku and something about him made Haruhi want to be friends with him and before they left for the temple she gave him a little black and silver bracelet in an attempt to connect with Taka. She was looking forward to hearing what they would be told when they returned from the temble. However, soon after, Haruhi’s clan had to run away from the area as some men in an armour they did not recognise attacked the small village and killed whichever warrior opposed them and kidnapped as many as they managed to capture. Her parents Mitsuka and Haruto, gathered as many of the clan members as possible and with their little girl they ran away and moved to Sailo. Her parents were alarmed because the clan had been attacked by men who knew quite well how to deal with kitsune and capture them and they headed to think what they could be wanting to capture kitsune for. They knew that they would need to live in hiding and train every member of the clan in the art of hunting, subterfuge and shinobido. The later so that they could easily spy on incoming danger and escape in the shadows to warn the clan. The clan no longer lived openly with the rest of humans and non humans for they were shaken by the loss and uncertainty of such catastrophe. Many did not make it to their new home. Upon their arrival, however, they were reunited with another more experienced clan who welcomed them and through working in unison and sharing experience and knowledge Haruto was chosen as the head of the clan. Due to this circumstance Haruhi developed a greater awareness of her surroundings and seldom lowered her guard.

It was around that time that she met Rishiara for the first time. The two of them became the best of friends in no time and they have shared a strong bond since then. Rishiara helped Haruhi find a suitable place for the kitsune to live and be safe. She decided that she would become strong to protect her clan as she had failed to do so due to how young she was and her lack of experience. She not only cultivated her kitsune abilities and marksmanship and hunting skills, but she also read as much as she could about tactics, studded the people in the area and their cultures, alongside the government in place in Sailo and it was one of the reasons that led her to become a bard. She deemed the best way to acquire information and keep her clan safe was to have an occupation that enabled her to travel a certain and safe distance and keep her clan informed. Besides, the skills taught to her by her father in subterfuge, her kitsune skills and the art of shinobi would render her the aid she needed. Besides, she and Rishiara were constantly in touch so if either of them needed assistance the other would always come to help.

When Haruhi was fifteen, she became quite proficient with her water elemental abilities and she would practice as often as she could. She enjoyed making shapes with the water and explored all her skills to see how far she could push herself and what new things she could learn. She also developed a good relationship with the creatures of the sea and land. But it was also around that time that a minor water god spotted her, his name is Maru and though Haruhi welcomed the company of water deities and nymphs for she loved learning, there was a darkness to Maru that made her weary of his company and so she avoided him as much as she could. She thought that her family had already enough on their plate to worry about a water god and so she ensured to keep her distance and never be caught alone with him. But one day, when looking inside her back she realised that somehow her ‘kitsune ball’ was gone. It was a very important belonging kitsune had that, if in the wrong hands, it would force them to add whoever came to possess the ball. She had heard of a member of the clan who had perished unable to retrieve the ball when requested to take part in a battle. It was not that easy to get the ball back and so she tried to search for it until she felt drawn into a cave slide to the streams where the clan lived. She had a bad feeling about it but she still followed suit as she could not help herself, and she feared someone had indeed found her kitsune ball and she feared the worst. And with reason. As soon as she entered the cave, albeit as silent as a most experienced shinobi, Maru captured her with special wards that stopped her from using her skills to avoid him. Were she more experienced and older these ward would not have worked, but as she was still young and inexperienced she was in big trouble…

Just as she had feared Maru was a wicked man with a black heart and he had his way with her ensuring to torment her every step of the way due to her avoiding him and not obeying the ‘commands’ of a god. She knew when she looked into his eyes that her life was over at that very moment and that he disguised his darkness with the art of water in order to ensure no one suspected him for all the crimes he committed. Once he had his fill of torture and abuse he took out a dagger, she gasped and trued to move away but she was too weak to do so at that moment. She knew those kinds of weapons were terrible for spirit beings like Haruhi, it would most certainly destroy her. But, just as he was to strike her a wolf charged at him and fearing that anyone might discover him in the cove with Haruhi and ruin his cover, he escaped and foolishly left the kitsune ball behind. Haruhi knew who the lovely wolf was and in shame and pain she lashed onto her fur and cried bitterly for a very long time. She never spoke of this traumatic event with the exception of Rishiara, her dear friend who came to her aid. Despite this, she dared not speak up as Maru was a powerful god and could do anything to harm her people and thus, she suffered in silence and fought for years to recover form this incident. Despite this, Maru continued to stalk her and torment her with his presence and she knew that he was only waiting for the best moment to finally destroy her as he had wanted to all those years.

The years that followed something inside her changed, she was no longer the friendly stranger open to making new friends or the positive and cheerful person she used to be. She was still quite happy for she had her family and amen things to be grateful for, but that experience made her weary of strangers and so, despite her kitsune curiosity when meeting others, she never lowered her guard and was not too trusting at first. But if that person proved to be a good person she would not hesitate to form a bond. One day, on her 21st birthday, her mother was attacked when she was returning from patrolling the border of their homelands and Haruhi could not get to her on time. Ever since then, believing her to still be alive, she would take longer and further trips than usual to earn morning through her occupation as bard and learns anything she coulda bout the whereabouts of Mitsuka. She had given up so many thing sin her life, she was not planning to do the same about her beloved mother. Of course, she was completely oblivious to the fact that every threat in her life, mostly, had all been carried out by order of Zhang Ji, daimyo of the area her family resided in.
