appearance: Dajuna stands at 5’8'' slightly taller than average women due to her demon bloodline and has intense and long scarlet hair that reaches her waist and she has a fringe. Her eyes are of a deep amethyst and she has a slender but curvy build and she has general fitness due to her current occupation as mercenary. Depending on whether she is working or resting her hair is tied in a bun or an elegant hairpin or she lets it loose, as a mercenary she sometimes needs to wear lovely dresses, but she generally wears a samurai travelling kimono with a leather chest plate for protection as well as leg, shoulder and wrist pads and her cloak, the front of her shirt and leather protection has a slightly revealing neckline and she often wears boots. She likes lively colours particularly pink and she still wears femening clothes even when on duty. If she is not working or has to impersonate a lady she will wear lovely kimonos and have her hair elegantly falling behind her shoulders or do something pretty with her hair.

In her demon form her hair turns a pale white colour and her clothes turn a shade of scarlet. Her eyes turn amber scarlet golden and there is an ethereal glow about her. Two small horns form near her fringe. powers:
Invisibility: Dajuna can render herself unseen by the naked eye and become invisible in the visibility spectrum. She can move around unseen by others and act without being noticed. She can also choose to let certain people see her, while remaining unseen by others. It is a skill that is most useful due to her occupation as a mercenary but it also helps her gather information if needed and it does not take much energy to use this skill.

Time manipulation: Dajuna uses this skill mainly when running away or in the middle of a fight. Basically she can make herself disappear and reappear in a different area, so if she is fighting an opponent head on she could use the skill to move behind the enemy ensuring everything else around her is frozen in order to take them by surprise or vice versa. If she is trying to escape she can also freeze the enemy in time for a little while, while she runs away. She does not abuse this skill as time is something that should not be trifled with.

Shapeshifting: She can shapeshift into living beings at a basic level, she does not possess as much power to shapeshift as the yokai, mainly the kitsune master this ability nor can she transform into anything like the tanuki can, for they can transform into animate and inanimate objects. Dajuna can mainly transform into small creatures and some animals, but she cannot shape into the bigger animals for she does not have that power, she can also impersonate a person but not for long.

Telepathy: Dajuna can communicate with other demons through telepathy or any other magic user with such a gift. She can also use this gift in order to look inside the mind of others whenever she needs to acquire information from them. She needs concentration and needs to be careful not to be too forceful or the target could figure out she is trying to access their minds and that would break the spell.

Supernatural combat skills: Dajuna is a strong fighters not only for her mastery in the weapons that she carries in her persona but also for the power she had inherited from her family which deals with having immense combat skills, both offensive and defensive, it surpass other beings who may be strong in the art of combat. These include speed, precision, reflexes, technique, analysis, control, practical fighting and adaptation. Albeit she is also stronger than most humans this is the lesser of her supernatural combat skills.

Disease immunology, regenerative health and environmental adaptation: As a demon, Dajuna is immune to most illnesses and should she catch any it would most likely have no symptoms. She is also a rather strong being and is immune to most of the poisons that would harm or kill mortals. She also has regenerative health should she have an injury or be poisoned her body will fight it off more than a human body would and she can recover from most injuries. Her body can also adapt to most weathers and deal better with them than humans would.

Enhanced senses: As a demon, Dajuna has enhanced senses compared to humans and other magic beings such as the yokai. And these enhanced senses of smell, taste, sight, hearing and touch. This helps her survive and sometimes anticipate danger before it can reach her.

abilities: Dajuna is a weaponmaster and she became proficient in all the aforementioned weapons that she carries in her persona at all times. She began training at an early age and due to her survival instincts she became proficient in order to become a well-known mercenary. She also enjoys music greatly and plays the kugo, which is an angled harp that she began learning as she became a mercenary and she has become proficient in playing ever since then, it is a good hobby for whenever she has to pretend to be a lady of importance, etc for her mercenary tasks. She is also an avid thinker and greatly interested in reading books about philosophy, history, battle tactiques and the occasional novel or romance.

weapons: As a mercenary and a person who has learned to wield weapons from an early age, Dajuna has several weapons in her array that she has mastered. The weapons are listed below in order of preference:

Kusarigama: This weapon consists of a kama (sickle) handing on a kusari-fundo, which is a metal chain with a heavy iron weight at the end. It is her prefered weapon of choice as it can keep enemies at bay with the swinging weighted chain and then slashed with the blade in close combat. So no matter what kind of foe she faces, she can fight from a distance or close combat without the fear of being unarmed for the challenge. The chain is in the form of a dragon body and the iron weight has the face of a dragon for she still honours her fallen demon clan from Kutou despite the loss and believing herself the last of her clan. The sheath of this weapon hangs on her back and she can wield it faster than a person can wield any weapon and attack her.

Tessen: It is a war fan made of iron and wood that can at simple glance appear harmless but can be used in close combat, inside buildings and she also learned to use it to fend off knives and darts or as a throwing weapon. Usually she uses this weapon when on horseback and she wields it on her left hand and her sword on her right hand. She also has a gunbai, which is a slightly bigger metal with solid wood war fan that she uses in order to block arrows, as a sunshade or in order to signal troops when needed. She ensures to teach her signals beforehand. These fans are subtle but can make the difference in the outcome of a battle. Both fans are usually hanging on both sides of her belt.

Katana: Dajuna has a katana with a curved, single-edged blade and a circular guard and long grip to accommodate her two hands. This katana belonged toher family and when she was found after her family and clan were destroyed, her adoptive family kept it for her, but as soona s they were murdered she took it upon herself to learnt o wield it and it was the ery first weapon she elarned to master alongside her kusarigama. These are words written on the blade but these are in the demonic language, for her clan was the dragon clan. The blade hands on the left side of her belt on its sheathe.

Hachiwari: It is a dull and heavy blade with a short hook at the base which she uses to hook an opponent’s armour or to gain leverage to pry the armour apart. She mainly uses this blade to fight armoured enemies and for heavy-handed disarmament. She wields this weapon with both hands and it hangs on the right side of her belt.


strengths:
Fighting skills: Due to her desire to survive the hardships she endured as a child she became quite proficient with all the weapons she carries as well as her demon skills that she has learned to use without really giving away what she is. Lying among humans and knowing what they can do to demons she became avid at finding ways to use her powers and skills combined without making it obvious to her opponent that she is using demonic skills. This is another reason she is a well-known and well-paid mercenary and she believes she neer stops learning so she keeps trying to learn new tricks and skills and perfecting the abilities she already has.

Knowledge of the world: As an avid thinker and a person who enjoys reading and learning new things, she is rather intelligent and has learned to survive in the world and to use things to her advantage, one of them being exploiting the opponent’s weaknesses and this not only applies to power or fighting skills but also to those who will look for loop-holes in order to break the law or harm the innocent. It is true that Dajuna is a mercenary but the knowledge she has acquired mainly serves to help her survive, excel at her occupation and help those in need.

The desire to help: It could be said that her past could have ended up shaping a very different Dajuna. Instead, she decided to focus her life to aid those in need because she knew what it was like to be alone and with nowhere to go and she had been granted the love of a second family, albeit momentarily, and she wanted to help children survive in this harsh world. This desire is the motivation behind everything she does and she is hoping that one day she will be able to help many children and the outcast be happy again. She also helps demons if she comes across them, for demons have been suffering harsh persecution for many centuries because humans do not understand them and believe them to be mere beasts.

weaknesses:
Albeit a strong demon, like anyone of her race she can perish due to the right amount of a dealy poison, a deadly wound or the lack of time required for her body to regenerate its health. For example if she is attacked when mortally wounded, it is unlikely her body will be able to recover as quickly as usual and it might end up in her death. If anyone uses the proper ward her invisibility may be detected. Curses can also affect her greatly so she has to be careful what kind of person she interacts with.

Furthermore the use of her demon form requires a great deal of energy and the constant use of her demon skills in her demon form could render her defenceless should she use up all her energy. Some of her demon skills require little energy, but even in her human form she has to be careful when and how she uses them mainly because she fears what humans might do to her should they find out she is a demon. That is one of her greatest fears, to experience what she has seen other demons go through when in the hands of humans for they know how to kill a demon.

personality:
Compassionate: Due to what she went through as a child, Dajuna feels great compassion toward those in indeed, particularly any homeless person, orphan children or those who have lost key persons in their lives and are struggling to survive. She will do everything in her power to help them get their feet back on the ground. That is another reason she works so hard at being the best because then she will have more power and with that she will be able to help more people. This also means that if anyone wanted to trick her or force her into a trap of some sort they just needed to tug at her heartstrings or threaten those she protected for her to be rendered helpless. And that is the problem with being openly a good person to others, that such an honourable trait could be used against you.

Fighter: As a result of the hardships she has experienced she developed a resilience toward failure and she will fight on to her last breath. Nothing will dissuade her otherwise and she knows that if she ever gives up the lives of those she has protected will be in danger. She believes many people rely on her and that gives her the strength to fight on and never give up. Some could take that as stubbornness to some extent and this determination could in itself also be a weakness because sometimes she will run herself raged without realising that she is doing so in an attempt to help others. And that can also be used against her.

Loyal: Once Dajuna connects with someone at a deep level then she is the most loyal of persons even to the point of risking her own life for the person in question. Due to the things she went through in the past and how much she appreciates those who helped her and became her close friends and only family then she learned to be just as kind and supportive of those who need her. She sees loyalty as something that is second nature to her and she is aware that some might see it as a weakness but she decided not to close herself off and give others the chance to trust and be trusted and to reward the loyalty she professed and while some people end up betraying her she just sees it as part of living and finding the people she can trust.

Silent: Dajuna has learned to appreciate silence as it allows her to think, it also helps her refocus and regain composure during difficult circumstances and that also helps her strike back. The part of her that still mourns her losses has made her a bit less cheerful than she used to be. That said, she does not often speak much to strangers unless there is an event or circumstance that requires her to and if she must she will help that person and then be on her way. But once she befriends a person she is more talkative and can occasionally tease and joke around. But this is reserved to people she already knows.

Sagara Nakasuke: The daimyo that controls the village Dajuna was taken to when she was adopted and the man responsible for the death of her foster parents and a lot of the people in the village. Ever since he met Dajuna he has been wanting her to become his bride and have his heirs.


history:
Dajuna was born to a loving family in a demon clan in Kutou, she was good friends with a demon girl called Yukiina, she was the daughter of the clan leader and both were really happy kids. However, one day when both she and Yukiina were ten years of age, the clan was attacked and destroyed by a demon called Yu and the lord he served called Asroth. During the attack she took her family heirloom a katana she now carries in her persian to this day and she escaped through the secret tunnels. As much as she wanted to help her family she was much too young and she was ordered to escape. She cried herself to sleep that day and she luckily woke up in a little cart owned by the two persons who would become her foster parents. She had better luck than her dear friend Yukiina, although, to this day, she is still looking for her.

The little village can be located on the outskirts of Sailo and it is mostly a fishing village. And there she led a happy life until she reached the age of fifteen when a selfish young daimyo who was sixteen at that time decided to take over some small villages and Dajuna’s was one of them. He ordered his men to kill any opposition to be incorporated into his province and so her foster parents alongside the people of the village who tried to protect the elderly, women and children all perished and many children were left orphaned. It was then that, in order to protect some women from the ravenous advances of some of the soldiers, Dajuna drew her katana for the first time in battle, having practised for as long as she got a hold of the blade. She was not the most refined fighter back then, but she managed to protect everyone in the village and unfortunately that impressed Sagara Nakasuke. Eventually she mastered the weapons she now carried and now she fights with great finesse and elegance.

Sagara Nakasuke approached her after the incident and promised to rebuild the town and help everyone survive if she agreed to marry him and sire his heirs and at such a tender age and already despising the man for what he had done, Dajuna met some mercenaries in a nearby town and ran away with the group where she learned to master her weapons as well as the art of playing her kugo which turned into a comforting hobby of hers. It was at this time where her current personality was formed and where she learned most of the skills she now possesses as a mercenary and where she found the one way she could help her village without acceding to the whims of a powerful and corrupted young daimyo. Ever since she began travelling with a band of mercenaries and to build a name for herself, she had still been looking for her old friend Yukiina hoping to find her one day and also she came across Nanami and she sometimes joins her in her mercenary tasks for a large fee. She hopes to one day have enough power to bring Sagara Nakasuke down, put him in prison and ensure the wellbeing of her village and those he had attacked alongside hers.

Unbeknownst to her she is the reincarnation of a demon called Futakuchi–Onna (two-mouthed woman) who once served a most powerful demon NAME who became the father of Kyouaku.
