She is often utilized specifically to eliminate prominent political figures in order to ensure that power shifts to a desired person or party. Her primary method is to seduce the victim with the promises of intimate activities, and attack them when they are most vulnerable. She is both beautiful and very deadly, but has few loyalties when unpaid.

appearance: She has dark blue hair with crystal blue highlights, which falls past the waist, but is usually worn up out of her way, in a more elegant style when she is performing escort duties, or in a tight braid when her assassin’s skills are needed. She has pale silver eyes, and tends to wear a veil when working as an escort, or full mask as an assassin, in order to hide these unusual eyes. She is built tall, and very thin and sticklike rather than curvy, but due to her profession knows how to dress in order to accentuate herself. Contrarily, she can dress to pass as a man, when necessary, and do so convincingly, provided that she does not speak.

Invulnerability/Regeneration - Cannot be killed unless the torso and head are removed from her body and independently destroyed. Even beheading or wounds to vital organs will not kill her unless those body parts are separated from the rest of the body and destroyed. She has a mild regenerative/self-healing ability, including the ability to reconnect/recompose removed or destroyed limbs, organs, etc given enough time. Initial reconnection of a severed extremity is relatively rapid, i.e. within one or two days, but full function of organ/limb may not be achieved until days or weeks after regen, depending on severity of the wound. Complete regrowth of a missing/destroyed extremity is a much longer, more involved process, and as a result, it is best that any removed extremity be returned to the body, if possible.

Enhanced hearing - ability to hear both at a wider tone range than most humans, and at softer volumes. Ability to accurately hear whispers at distances up to 20 meters.

Enhanced night vision - comes with increased sensitivity to bright/sudden increase of light.

Partial Shapeshifting - Fingernails/toenails can become thick, long talons which are nearly unbreakable, and when this happens, the pupils of her eyes gain a vertical, reptilian slit shape. Rumor has it that a few generations back, there was a draconic ancestor in her lineage.

Stealth - ability to move silently in all environments, and to blend into shadows via clothing choice and smoothness of movement.

Alchemy - specifically, her specialty is poisons, for obvious reasons, but she also knows a few simple healing draughts and poultices, and how to gather/prepare ingredients for them.

Cooking/Survival - not a gourmet by any means, but she is known for an ability to take a variety of edible but seemingly-unpalatable things and make something oddly delicious from them. This includes the collection and use of various edible wild flowers, tubers, etc for eating on the road.

weapons: Primary weapons are daggers and throwing knives, though her most frequent choice is a pair of bladed fans, which she can carry openly as an escort without many questions.

Fear of dark, confinement, and closed spaces. While she can cope/think through any one of these, this fear can become crippling if any of these are combined.

personality: She has few personal connections and few values, none of which cannot be sacrificed to a coin across her palm. Loyalties are to whomever has paid her - though once she has undertaken one task for a price, she will not falter in that task, even if offered a better price by someone else. In fact, the only moral center that she seems to possess is in that when she can afford to, she will refuse a job - even paid - that entails the killing/manipulation of someone she feels does not deserve it. However, as her two professions are largely based upon a supply/demand basis, she sometimes cannot refuse jobs of this kind, if she still wants to be able to feed herself, etc.



That said, most of her presented personality is artificial. She is something of a social chameleon, becoming who and what people want or need her to be, and just as quickly shifting to another, when necessary. This means that she has very little real personality of her own.

history: Born to an escort who was much less fortunate than she has become, Daxai was literally left on the side of the road she was born on, with little care for what became of her. Well meaning good samaritans found her and saw that she was placed in the local orphan asylum, where she was fed and clothed for twelve years. Unfortunately, aside from the barest necessities of life, not much nurture or care was provided by the orphanage, whose headmaster generally used the children as an unpaid workforce to keep the buildings clean and in good repair, and to fetch and carry for him. Children grew up ill-educated, poorly socialized, and often malnourished or outright mistreated. A favorite punishment of the headmaster was to tie up disobedient children and confine them in a large, locked trunk for long periods of time - thus, her fears of dark, confinement, and closed spaces. At the age of 12, Daxai was deemed old enough to be put to work, and was quite literally sold into the escort trade, which was how she came into the employ of Musume. It was there that she was taught the finer points of both of her professions, and rose into prominence in her own right, for her skill. As such, she has little faith in anything or anyone, beyond the knowledge that she will be paid to do a job. She also has absolutely no idea that she is a Seishi, as her powers have not yet manifested.
