appearance: Jumiko stand at 5’7” which is the average height for a woman, she is thin but has a curvy body and that is an advantage to her occupation as performer. She has beautiful and long chestnut brown hair and a middle fringe and lovely amethyst eyes that are slightly violet. She usually wears elegant kimonos with beautiful flowery patterns and decorations and she likes soft colours. Whenever she is not performing she wears comfier and simpler kimonos and walking sandals. She likes playing around with her hair and creating beautiful hairdos in order to wear some of the lovely hairpins she makes in her spare time. She sells the rest of the hairpins in order to earn more coin and she carries her instrument wherever she goes.

Her tiger form is a beautiful white bengal fur with white stripes. She also has piercing amethyst eyes that sparkle with an ethereal light of their own. Sometimes, whenever she is with family or very close friends she will appear in her human form with her bengal tiger ears and tail, whenever she is in public, however, she hides them.

powers: As a tiger spirit she has the following powers:

Ambient energy manipulation: Jumiko can harness, channel or absorb surrounding energy in the environment. She can manipulate visible or invisible energy, like the natural elemental energy of the planet, or the energy from the sun. And she can do this in order to become stronger or use the energy absorbed for combat. This ability results in the following:

Absorption: She can absorb the ambient energy removing it from the source into her body and can use it to enhance herself gaining the drained power or as a power source temporarily.

Conversion: She can convert the energy absorbed into other types of energy.

Empowerment: She becomes stronger, faster, more durable when in contact with energy. This can also unlock abilities related to the element the energy comes from and enhance her existing powers. She can also use it to survive if needed and she was struggling.

Energy attacks: She can release or use energy in various shapes and intensities in order to protect herself or fight. She can do this as melé attacks (energy beams, blasts, bolts, bursts, rays) and these attacks can kick people back or cause them harm depending on the element the energy comes from. She can also project energy or use it to form a barrier

In her tiger form she can enter a form of berserker mode where she enters a state of uncontrollable rage and becomes incredibly powerful with a desire for battle regardless of her physical condition. When this mode is activated her skin hardens and becomes immune to weapons.

In her human and tiger form she has enhanced body regeneration that takes place at a much faster speed than normal forest spirits or humans.

In her human form she has bone claws that form at the head of the metacarpals on each hand and come out of her skin and spread up to 15” and she uses them like bagh nakhs.

abilities: Jumiko is a very good cook and she was always told she had talent in the kitchen. She learned from watching others and she has a habit of writing down any recipe she comes across or invents. She is also an incredibly talented performer and can sing as beautifully as a nightingale or act in such a way that she captivated the hearts of the audience no matter the character she portrays. She is also an outstanding musician and plays the kikuyu (during her performances as a singer or simply playing the instrument at pubs etc.,) and the tsuzumi (different sizes and mainly during theatre plays). She is also a very talented painter and has captivated the most particular patrons and nobles with her work selling it for good amounts of money. She enjoys reading poetry and most books she can get her hands on and she is also talented in making hair accessories like hairpins. She is an expert martial arts fighter due to the training her brother forced upon her. She has also mastered the art of fighting with a bagh nakhs due to her Seishi ability to fight with bone claws.

weapons: Jumiko’s tiger spirit abilities and Seishi skills grant her enough protection so that she does not deem it necessary to use any external weapons.
strengths: Jumiko is a strong fighter due to her tiger spirit abilities and Seishi powers as well as the training her brother forced on her. This makes her an ideal Celestial Warrior but she is in no rush to look for her Miko as she still has other duties to fulfil. Of course, should she come across her Miko, she will protect her until the prophecy is fulfilled.

She also has an avid mind when it came to logical solutions, which was also a result of the training her brother had her endure for years. This also made her a good thinker and compassionate toward others. This inspired in her a deep desire to avoid using her powers as much as possible and find peaceful solutions to problems. She only fights as a last resort o in order to protect whoever needs her help.
weaknesses:
Throughout the years Jumiko has learned to control all her magical powers as well as her Seishi abilities, however, due to how powerful she is sometimes she could use her skills without realising how much energy it may be taking from her, although she can absorb energy and aid her recovery she is still careful with how she she’s her energy manipulation abilities. Also, whenever she goes on berserker mode she needs to have an anchor to return back to her usual tiger form mode, otherwise she risks getting lost in the berserker mode and will fight until she can no longer fight and becomes unconscious or it could drive her into a madness that would consume her and could potentially end her life. Also, she has practised with the berserker mode for many years but the longer she uses it the harder it is to go back to normal so the anchor needs to be powerful. She also has astraphobia (fear of thunder and lightning) due to an incident in her past.
personality:
Gentle: Jumiko is a rather gentle person despite her being a tiger spirit she shows compassion more often than not and will help those in need or those who are unable to protect themselves. Due to the things she saw and experienced growing up she does not want to let anyone else, especially children, go through the same things if she can do something to help. Some consider this a weakness that could be exploited but she would rather give others the support needed to make the world a better place and then perhaps prove to herself that betrayal and deceit were not as common as she believed.

Cheerful: Despite everything she has been through, Jumiko is a rather cheerful person especially when it comes to people she likes or anything she is interested in. She is a very kind person to others as she believes that is the best way to get by and solve problems. If she is doing the things she loves, partaking in any hobby or pastime she likes then her cheerfulness is a clear indicator that she is doing something she enjoys or she is having a great time.

Solitary: Due to the many disappointments in her life she has struggled with building lasting friendships or relationships of any kind. Even among her family she was unable to create bonds and this has made her a rather solitary person. Even though she is kind to others and is helpful and compassionate she does not trust others easily and believes that those who approach her have ulterior motives. That doesn’t mean she would not open up to the right person and if she is given the right encouragement.

history:
Jumiko was born in a small city of tiger spirits in Hokkan to Hana and Ren both are white bengal tiger spirits and members of a noble bloodline that ensured they became the daimyo of that small city for many generations. Her childhood had been very happy and uneventful until she reached the age of five and her Seishi abilities manifested. Disappointed that she was not a Genbu no Seishi her parents grew colder and slightly hostile toward Jumiko and her elder brother Daiki, who was six years older, took it upon himself to give her the most rigorous training in order to learn to master her tiger spirit and Seishi abilities. Even though the training was harsh and at times she wanted to give up, she never did because she had a feeling she would need this training in order to survive later on.

In exchange for training hard Daiki helped her in her desire to pursue a career based in the performing arts, he helped her get her hands on a kikuyu and a tsuzumi so that she could learn to play music. She also started to paint in order to make the most of her solitary time. As the heir of the family, Hana and Ren swarmed Daiki with work, training and instruction so that he would be ready to take over the leadership of the city and that slowly drove the siblings apart. Jumiko focused on her training and the hobbies she was slowly learning and did her best to understand that her brother had a role to play.

However, one winter night, when she was ten years of age, her beloved brother Daiki left the city abandoning everyone, he had always told her he disliked the way their parents had changed and did not show the love of a family to Jumiko or Daiki and he left and never returned. It was the very fact that he left and never even tried to communicate with her that caused her to feel disappointment and the sting of betrayal for the second time, the first being when her parents basically turned their backs on her. After that she dedicated all her energies to her training and mastering her hobbies.

When she reached fifteen years of age a man five years older by the name of Goro came to the city claiming to be the daimyo of a nearby city. He was a red tiger spirit. From the very first moment he met Jumiko he did everything for them to start courting and though she felt a bit hesitant at first she finally agreed and for two years she felt a semblance of happiness that slowly began to overshadow the hurt and disappointment she experienced with her family. And she allowed herself to trust people once more. Goro promised they would wed and he would take her to his lands and they would have a lovely family.

But then, once she became eighteen, Goro tricked Jumiko into becoming intimate with him and after that he disappeared from her life and blackmailed her family into allowing him to become the new daimyo of their lands and Jumiko’s parents cast her out. The despair and disappointment she felt at such a betrayal of her lover and her family was so great she considered taking her life. But she knew that she still had the performing arts and music and she had to survive to help others and find her Miko eventually.

She then decided to join a troupe and become a performance artist and painter and packed her few belongings and cut herself completely from her family and the people she had known. She was still her cheerful and gentle self but she became more of a lone wolf and did not deal with people long enough to develop a relationship because she has been too disappointed throughout her life. She became a renowned painter and performer and her music charmed the hearts of those who attended her concerts and theatre plays. Albeit, a solitary person, part of her still hopes she will come across someone who will teach her that she did not have to fear constant disappointment.
