Haru is tall, standing at about 6’4”, with wirt, lean muscles. His skin is lightly tanned due to hime spent working in and around his family’s inn. He has shoulder length orange-brown hair , and warm brown eyes. His typical manner of dress is practical, though it depends what he is doing. He wears sturdy boots, simple trousers, and simple shorts and cloaks. He will wear short sleeved shirts - or remove his shirt altogether - if he’s engaged in manual labor. In addition to his twin short swords, which he carried on either side of his belt, he also carried a small medical kit at all times, as well as a knife in his boot.
As a wolf spirit, he is capable of taking on both a hybrid form - which looks like his human form, with the addition of two-tone brown ease and a tail, as well as a wolf form (See picture.) His wolf form is a two-tone brown wolf. Because he has been raised among humans, he tends to keep his ears and tail hidden, but he will let them show if he is around people he really trusts, such as his family and friends.

As a wolf spirit, Haru has the following abilities:
Super Strength: He is stronger than average humans, able to lift quite a bit of weight without seeming to even notice
Superhuman Agility: He is more agile than the average human, able to move nimbly in either his human or wolf form, and in fact, able to quickly and easily move between forms as well, without even breaking stride.
Enhanced Senses: many of his senses are more cute than those of humans. Although his sense of smell and hearing are his best, he also has better vision than most humans. These are strongest in his wolf form, but are still very strong in his hybrid form, and even his human form is more sensitive than most other humans.
Transformation: As a wolf spirit, Haru can transform from a fully human form, to a human/wolf hybrid, and even to a fully wolf form. Although the hybrid form is his favorite, he most often uses his human form, though he will travel in his wolf form if the road is otherwise unoccupied as he can move a bi faster in that form.
[n]Invulnerability:

[/b] He has the ability to enter a temporarily invulnerable state. This power leaves him largely unaffected by injury or illness, but it can only last for a very short time as it uses a lot of energy to maintain. This is usually his last resort, as he is often left basically helpless for the next day or so after the state of invulnerability ends.
Accelerated Healing: As a wolf spirit, he is able to recover from illnesses and injuries faster than the normal human. Injuries that could take months to recover are usually all better within a couple of weeks. This is sped up even further if he chooses to use his Seishi ability on himself, but he almost never decides to do this.
As a Seishi, Haru has the following abilities:
Healing: Haru’s primary Seishi ability. He's able to heal just about any injury or illness, so long as he has ample energy and can keep hold of the person he is healing the entire time. Though only his right palm shows the symbol “Chariot”, he is able to heal with both hands without a problem. When he is healing an injury a faint, warm white light seems to come from his palm and envelop the injury.
Damage: As a reverse to his healing ability, Haru is also able to cause physical injury to others with just a touch. HThe severity and size of the wound depends on how long he was able to keep contact with his opponent, as well as how tightly he was gripping them at the time. This power uses a lot of energy to pull off, so to offset the energy loss, he has learned he can also steal some of the energy from his opponent while causing the amage, in order to replenish his own energy.
Ability to Sense Injuries: As a simple matter of necessity, Haru is able to sense the location, type , and severity of an injury or illness, being able to properly treat it and get the person back on their feet sooner. In short, even if someone outwardly appears healthy, he will be able to sense if they are trying to hide their injuries.

Knowledge of Healing Herbs: In addition to his healing knowledge, he spent time training under a doctor in a nearby village to learn all he could about making medicine and collecting herbs to use for medical treatment. His small medical pack is stocked with not only pre-mixed medicines and salves, but also a small assortment of useful dried herbs. He knows of a medicinal use for nearly any plant that can be found in the wild.
Basic Hunting/Camping Skills: As he spends a lot of time traveling between villages to run errands for his family or see patients that have sent for him, he has learned to meet all of his basic needs while traveling. He can catch his own food, cook it, set up a shelter and keep a fire for warmth, among a few other skills.
Basic Repair Work: As he has been raised by a human family who ran an inn, Haru grew up learning to help his father perform basic daily maintenance to keep the inn fully operational. He can build and repair almost anything, and can get quite creative when the need arises.
weapons: twin short blades worn on either side of his belt, and a short dagger usually carried in one boot. He is also capable of using his fangs and claws in his wolf form.
strengths: is strengths, aside from the physical ones granted by his powers, lie in his quick thinking, intelligence, confidence and loyalty. He is able to quickly think his way through a situation, more often than not, and though he was never formally educated, he did learn to read and write from his mentor doctor, which is just one more sign of the surprising intellect he holds. He is a very confident man. Being both gay and a wolf spirit living among humans, he has had to make a habit of behaving as if he belongs there, even if he does not always feel like he does. This confidence has convinced nearly everyone to accept him without a protest. He is not ashamed of who he is, but he does tend to try not to draw attention to it. Instead, he behaves as if he has done nothing wrong, and most people he encounters don’t think twice about it.
weaknesses: Haru has the weaknesses typical of wolf spirits. He can be mortally injured by a blessed bamboo blade, and he can be ensnared in certain wards or magical nets. He is left very weak and helpless if he overuses his powers, or if he uses his invulnerability. He would essentially need someone to protect him until his strength returned. He’s likely to need a big meal and a long rest after using his powers a lot, and if food and rest are not readily available, he can be very vulnerable for a time. He also has a secret fear of thunderstorms. Shortly after his mother abandoned him, He was trapped outside during a bad storm that lasted most of the day, and with no shelter and no comfort, he was very traumatized.
personality: Haru is a friendly, helpful, and outgoing person with a good heart and a generous nature.Despite rejection from his own family at a very young age, he learned compassion from the human family that took him in. They taught him to be careful - as it was not safe to live openly as a wolf spirit among humans - but to be proud of himself and his accomplishments, just as they were. Though not his biological family, the Kudamonos loved him like their own, and encouraged all of his best traits. This confidence should never be mistaken for arrogance, however, as he is, deep down, really a very humble person. He does not think he is anything remarkable, he is simply trying to do the best he can and make the most of his life and the powers Suzaku has granted him. He can sometimes come off as nosy or pushy as he is always curious about others, and wants to know more. He is also very sure of himself and his knowledge, often expecting to have an order followed immediately - though they are rarely given, they always carry importance. He’s a bit of a snoop, enjoying playing a matchmaker of sorts, mostly because he knows it is unlikely - being both gay and a wolf spirit - that he will ever find love of his own. He finds his happiness in helping others, be it with his powers and medical knowledge, or just giving them a nudge toward the person he can tell they are interested in. He is very intelligent, but prefers to give off the more laid back appearance, not wanting to seem like too much of a know-it-all. He also has a protective streak, and he tends to worry about others, especially if he can not readily do anything to help them. He is the type to give someone the shirt off of his back and the last coin in his pocket, if he thinks they genuinely need it more than he does. Although he is slow to anger, once someone has wronged him or someone he cares for, that person will see his full rrath.
He has a particularly interesting relationship with his fellow Seishi, Meian. The two met several years ago, and became friends, though he usually treats Meian like an annoying little brother. He is nevertheless still very fond of Meian, and goes out of his way to help him out or make sure that he has a room to sleep in and a warm meal to eat whenever he is in town. Meian is - to date - the only person outside of his family that knows that he is both a wolf spirit, and also has a preference for men, though he has never had a romantic interest in Meian, even if the younger man was interested - which he was not.

important.NPCs:
Chen and Hinari: Haru’s adoptive human parents. When they took in Haru as a young child, they fully accepted him into the family, even giving him his father’s first name - as was a common practice for the eldest son. Thet run an inn in the border town that Haru grew up in. They are loving and compassionate people who are always willing to help others
Shiko, Suiko, and Umeko: Haru’s adoptive little sisters. Shiko and Suiko are both 23, and Umeko is 20. All three are married and raising young families, but all still help out around the inn. His parents, sisters, and their husbands all know that aru is a wolf spirit, and that he is gay, and though it took their husbands some time to adjust, they are now a vert loving and tight-knit family.

history: Haru was born into a wolf spirit pack in Konan. His father, the alpha, had many mates and several children, but Haru was the only boy. When he was about three years old, one of the other females gave birth to another girl, only this one was blind. Haru - then called Li - was very fond of his little sister, Rishiara, and for about a year, he was constantly by her side.. His father grew angry that his young son was so affectionate toward the “worthless” blind infant, and ordered Li’s mother to either beat it out of him, or get rid of him. His mother was afraid of losing her status in the pack, so she took him off a long distance from their home. She begged her son to stop being kind to the little girl, and to just let her suffer whatever fate his father saw fit, but he was too young to understand why his mother would ask this of him, and so he refused. Saddened, she whipped her young son until he was unable to follow her back home, and then left him there in the woods alone..

His accelerated healing was not fully developed then, so it took him longer to recover than would be normal for an adult. By the time he had recovered enough to start moving, and find his way slowly to a main road, he was unlucky to find himself in Konana’s infamous stormy season. He ended up getting caught on the road during a horrible storm that lasted all day, and all night, with no shelter or comfort to be found. He had always been safe inside with his family during storms before, and he had never experienced the fury and fright that this storm represented first hand.

It was shortly after this storm broke that a young innkeeper was traveling from one village to another to bring back medicine for his pregnant wife. He found little Li - still injured, hungry, frightened and tired - and resolved at once to take the little boy home. He and his wife tended to the boy, and taught him to put his ears and tail away when around other people, and then announced to the rest of their small village that they had adopted the little bot. HE was surprisingly quick to adjust to this new family, and showed great excitement for the birth of the twin girls his new mother was expecting. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to being the best big brother he could - just as he had done with Rishiara - though he was glad to see that this time he was not punished for his devotion. He was just as devoted a few years later, when Umeko was born.

As he grew up, Li worked hard to fit into his new life, and was willing to do any task for his loving human family that he was physically capable of doing. He showed an interest in medicine at a young age, and his father began taking him to the nearest doctor to begin learning the trade.He learned to read and write and began studying all the different plants and what uses each had. It had seemed a bit odd to his family that he had such an interesting medicine, but they encouraged it.

His interest in medicine made a lot more sense when - at the age of 12 - his Seishi powers manifested for the first time. He was walking with Umeko - only 5 at the time - to a nearby village to pick up some supplies his mother needed. During the short walk, Umeko felt playful and ran ahead, but she lost her footing and tripped, rolling off the road and down a short, steep hill to one side of the path. Li went after her and upon seeing her bleeding and crying, he took her in his arms and fretted over what to do. He felt the sudden impulse to put his hand over her scraped knee - though he could not explain why - and was surprised to find that a warm, white light covered the wound and healed it so that not even a mark remained. He helped her clean up and dried her tears before he carried her back up only the main road and they continued their errand - though he made her hold his hand the rest of the way. When they returned home, they told his parents and he demonstrated his new ability to them when his mother accidentally burned her hand on the stove in surprise. He was a Suzaku Seishi, and that meant they had to teach him what that meant.

His teenage years were full of training. He trained his abilities as both a wolf spirit, and as a Suzaku Seishi. He trained harder to gain a more complete understanding of what the Doctor he learned under could teach him, and he trained hard with a pair of twin short blades given to him by his father to both help protect his family and their inn, and someday protect the Suzaku no Miko. He also discovered during his teenage years that he did not return the feelings of any of the blushing young maidens in the village who thought he was handsome… though he did find his eye drawn to their older brothers, more often than not. He tried his best to keep this taboo desire secret, but somehow, his sisters discovered, and it was not long until his parents did as well. He was fully prepared to be ousted from the second family in his life… But the Kudamonos kept this secret, and continued to accept and love him as he was.

The doctor he was training under has since retired, so in addition to all of the work he still did around the Inn, he began to travel to nearby villages to help people with his healing abilities and medical knowledge. He also began training others to tend to the sick when he was not able to come around. To avoid confusion when people spoke to him, or came looking for him for help, he began to give the name Haru to those he helped, a shortened form of his Seishi name, Haruyoshi. He uses it as often as he does his original name, Li, or the name his loving parents called him - Chen. He is aware that he will have to leave his home soon to help fulfill his destiny as a Seishi, and though he will miss his family greatly, he is excited to travel. He has always regretted that he could not let his nature as a wolf spirit be known openly in his home village, and he would like to find a place where he can truly be himself. He would also like to find his little sister Rishiara, though he has a fear that she died many years ago due to his father’s cruelty and neglect He is sure that - even if he could find her - she would likely not remember him/
