appearance: Izanami stands at 5’6” and has beautiful aquamarine blue hair and eyes in her human form. Her hair falls below her knees and if she is performing as a DJ she ties it into two ponytails on either side of her head with a pink and stylish hair band that goes well with her usual performing attire. She usually wears a white dress with violet stripes on the edge of the neckline and sleeves and it reaches just above her knees. She wears violet boots with heels and she keeps her nails slightly long and well manicured to look presentable and professional. She likes to paint them in colours that match with her hair. She is slim but has a well developed form and whenever she is not performing she likes to wear lovely dresses and either have her hair fall behind her shoulders or she tries beautiful hairdos. She likes to wear slight heels but she also enjoys converse-style shoes and jeans with either revealing neckline shirts or tops that expose a bit of her abdomen. In her tengu form her hair turns a lighter and softer shade of blue and her eyes turn a slightly shade of pink. Her wings come out a darker shade of blue and some of the feathers tone down till they reach the colour of white. The wings stand at one metre each side and she often uses them to cover herself and be undetected should she wish to. She also wears an emerald necklace in her tengu form in order to remind herself of the things that can happen if she is too reckless with her powers. The necklace belonged to a dear friend.

As a tengo forest spirit, Izanami can shapeshift into any living creature this is often helpful whenever they need to impersonate someone or during a confrontation of any kind as it makes her nimbles than most humans and warriors as she can often morph into a raven to escape or regain momentum in an aerial fight.

She can also possess human beings for any reason, either to escape an unwanted confrontation, to spread false rumours or in order to seduce men into giving her the required information or rob them from their possession. Now this is not something she does out of her own volition but she has been coerced into doing this in the past.

Along with the naturally formidable martial arts skills regarding jiu jitsu, judo and karate, Izanami is also good in aerial fights due to her having large wings and being able to shapeshift. She also has a few more powers that she mainly uses when fighting on air, this is something she inherited due to the ancestry of her tengu clan. These skills are:

Wing teleportation: Izanami can teleport via her wings, this can only be done in her tengu form. Her wings wrap around her body and/or others and teleport them where they wish to be. She needs to know the exact location and everyone involved needs to focus fully on the place, otherwise the spell will not work properly and might take them to a random location in the middle of nowhere.

Wing barriers: She can use her wings as shields as some degree of defensive mechanism and can do this after morphing her wings into a harder material difficult to breach or with a powerful gust of wind to block attacks. This can only be done in her tengu form. It depends on her level of concentration and it uses up some energy so she is careful with how she uses her magic skills. This skill is linked to the power to manipulate her wings or the power to generate wind..

Wing manipulation: Izanami can create, shape and manipulate her own wings or does of others in order to elongate, harden, extend control of the plumage or in order to take part in an aerial fight.

Wing Blades: This ability is linked to the power to manipulate her wings as Izanami first needs to transform her feather wings into armoured wings that can be used as shields as well as razor sharp blades that she can even throw at her opponents.

Wind transmutation: This skill is mainly a defensive and battle evasive mechanism where Izanami can transform matter and objects, including living beings, into wind or currents of air. This can be used, for example, to avoid weapon attacks.

Wind generation: Izanami can generate winds in various forms and intensities, from gentle gusts to blasts and breaths to powerful tornadoes.
abilities: Izanami is quite talented with music, music theory and rhythm and that has served her well in the art of mastering her shamisen and becoming a renown DJ. She is also an avid reader especially regarding the history and legends and teachings of old and she partakes in meditation and yoga. She has come to master yoga due to years of practising and doing an instructor’s course.

She is good at writing poems and lyrics for songs and even composing music but she uses that mainly for the job as DJ. This allowed her to meet Mariko and her band and she has often promoted their music through her work and came to become close friends with Mariko before she disappeared and Izanami could not locate her even using her tengu powers.

She is a master of the martial arts and has a talent for flying and using her powers for the right cause. She can also travel for long periods of time even on foot as she loves to spend time in nature. She is also quite talented with bonsai trees and looks after them with deep affection. Furthermore she speaks a few dead languages as these have been transmitted in her family for generations.
weapons: Izanami carries no weapons as she is a martial arts master in many branches and depends herself in the way of the warrior. If needed she can transform into her tengo form in order to partake in aerial battle or fool an enemy in order to escape.
strengths: Izanami has a strong personality and is a powerful tengu. This helps her survive in a modern world where forest spirits are scarcer. But that also means she has to be quite responsible when making use of her powers and abilities. She is also rather wise for her years and cunning when it comes to crafting plans of escape or finding solutions to make things practical. She feels strongly about the powers she has been granted and everything regarding her family inheritance and she protects those she loves fiercely.
weaknesses: Due to the fact that she is a rather strong forest spirit she is weary of who she trusts as, despite her wisdom and maturity, she is still a rather young tengu, in tengu years, and that means she can be easily manipulated if the person knows how to. That means she could be using her powers to do bad things instead of helping others. She also often struggles to control her temper as most tengu have strong personalities and she knows that fits of anger are very possible to fall into.
personality: Izanami came from a clan of tengu referred to as daitengu, which are peaceful the quests and most powerful without any inclination to untoward behaviour, compared with the more ignorant tengu called kotengu who are generally bad and reckless. This makes her more of a gentle person when it comes to violence and would rather pull out tricks with her powers instead of fight, however she can be a powerful adversary in battle.

She encourages human peaceful approaches to life, for example, meditation, yoga and any form that reaches out to the gentle nature of every living being. She partakes in yoga and meditation in an attempt to soothe her soul. She has experienced aggression in life and is reticent of trusting other people she does not know well at first.

When Izanami became eighteen she decided to honour her family tradition of teaching martial arts skills to young people in order to fill the world with noble warriors. She had a strong sense of her family inheritance not only as a tengu from an ancient clan but as a person living in a modern era where crime was still quite prominent. However, she was too young to differentiate from sound-hearted men and evil and manipulative people. Although she always had noble intent as she could never harm others, this made her much more weary of others and much more selective.

Izanami has a strong connection to nature and music. She plays the shamisen whenever she is not otherwise occupied with her daily activities in an attempt to bring balance and calm to her life and she spends as much time as possible climbing mountains, walking around forests and she is rather protective of the people she loves and her home, like a good tengu that she was. Although most tengu have strong temperaments, even though dran to peace and wisdom, Izanami often fights to control this raring monster inside herself especially after what happened once.

history: Izanami was born to a happy family that belongs to an ancient tengu clan. She had a happy childhood and was often taken to visit her grandparents, it was there where, at the age of five she met Mikoto, a boy that often visited her grandparents to help them with any tasks that needed doing around the house. She knew he was a tangy because her elder family did not get too close to humans in fear of being found out. She got to know him and as soon as she reached the age of fourteen she realised she had a crush on him but was too shy to speak her feelings. And so she moved away from the friendship a little bit due to her confusion and the embarrassment of telling him how she felt as it wasn‘t that common for a member of the tengu clan for a woman to court a man.

Her family encouraged her skills with music, martial arts and all the hobbies and abilities she worked hard to fully develop and she studied at a music school. She then went to University and studied music arts, therapy and heritage music. She also started training young men in the art of martial arts in order to cultivate peaceful warriors that would protect the innocent one of her students was Hiroto who, knowing her gentle nature and naiveness as a young instructor, manipulated her into a relationship that ended up with him manipulating her to use her powers that he discovered she had, he was a kotengu and blackmailed her into telling humans about her tengu clan if she did ot comply and stayed by his side. He was rather aggressive with her in his obsession to manipulate her into a fearful tengu and unleash her strong temperament on humans due to his hatred of them.

It was then when she met Mariko and her band and one of the fans called Rin, she was a kind hearted young woman who became her close friend. One of the many times Hiroto took Izanami somewhere to unleash his madness, Rin happened to be nearby and when Hiroto attacked her Izanami lost control of her powers, devastating the natural habitat of many creatures within the forest and that also ended in the death of her friend. She took her necklace and wore it whenever she turned into her tengu form as a reminder of the devastation power can cause.

After that she did her best to avoid Hiroto and focus on her family and job but he would not leave her alone, the toxic relationship was affecting her mental and physical health and fearing for the worst Izanami’s parents spoke with Mikoto asking him to reach out and help their daughter. He was a very intelligent man and did not approach her directly, he bided his time and little by little Mikoto lured her to him. He knew that their friendship had gotten a bit cold throughout the years and if he approached her directly she would get defensive. And it was through spending time together, doing their favourite hobbies together and him coming to help her during her DJ nights that she realised her feelings for him had never disappeared and were now stronger than ever. And since he was a vocalist in a band they recorded a few duets together that she adapted for her DJ nights that were a success.

One night, while Izanami slept in her house, Hiroto broke in. He was drunk and angry at the fact that she was not spending much more time with another man who was not her boyfriend. She broke up with him and told him to leave but instead he used a ward that prevented her from using her powers and kidnapped her. She was not sure how long she had been kept tied up to a chair but she was terrified of all the terrible things Hiroto threatened to do if she did not stop seeing Mikoto and came back to him. She opposed him and received a slap to the face but she was lucky because Mikoto managed to track her down and save her.

It was at that moment that she threw her arms around his neck and spoke of her feelings of love for him even if he did not feel the same. She was surprised but truly happy to hear the feelings were reciprocated and her mental and physical health began to improve, little by little. Her family greatly thanked Mikoto and blessed their relationship and Izanami slowly found herself turning back into her normal former self. However, the scars of such a dark experience never left her and she became weary of others and practised harder to control her emotions and powers. It took a while but she eventually found herself trusting Mikoto completely and feeling at ease in his company.

One evening, she was sitting in her garden with Mikoto and they were discussing a book he had found that seemed to be written in an ancient language and he brought it for Izanami to try and decipher what it said. As soon as she opened the book, however, a great silver–white suroundedher and some snowflakes emerged from the book and she was dragged into the world of the Four Kingdoms leaving her beloved behind, unable to do anything about it but call out his name.



History Shinako: Shinako was reincarnated into the modern world from the world of the Four Gods as she luckily escaped the full process of devouring that Miko would suffer betrayed by the gods they so willingly served and that also prevented her from becoming part of the Fiend Ignorance. She is a slightly more mature and reserved version of Izanami, but she is just as clumsy as her.

She is a rich and successful model who built up her reputation after being voted Miss Japan in order to represent her country in the international event. This has earned her the excessive admiration of some, like her manager Hiroto who generally stalks and harasses her, or the jealousy and hatred of other people like Mizuki who did not cut it for modelling and tried the world of music instead.

Before she became an incredibly popular model, Shinako used to have many friends but ever since she got a contract with her manager Hiroto, little by little he isolated her and made her lose contact with friends and family and currently makes it very difficult for anyone to approach her and get close to her since he has her exactly where her wants her.

At times she has bouts of depression and feels like a prisoner to some perverted and violent man and wants to break free but is unable to find the willpower and determination to do so. Also as he has been violent and abusive toward her, both physically and mentally, she feels she can’t escape him and doesn’t know anyone who could help her. Also she is afraid he might hurt someone else because of her and might ruin a career she had worked her whole life to improve.

The only comfort she has is her music and playing the shamisen and the hope that she might become popular enough she won’t need her manager anymore as she no longer believes anyone is out there trying to reach out for her and save her.
