Izanami had agreed to meet up with Mikoto at his duplex and she had been a bit hesitant at first. She simply could not believe how someone as handsome, talented and popular had asked her to be his girlfriend. They both were from slightly different worlds, granted she is a renown DJ, her level of fame is nowhere near Mikoto’s and she could particularly notice due to the door she was staring at unsure of whether to know or not. She was wearing a beautiful white summer dress with thin sleeves below the shoulders and a slightly revealing neckline. The edges of the dress were violet and she wore violet shoes and a handbag. She has a small cardigan inside her purse and her hair was elegantly falling behind her shoulders although she was wearing a lovely thin and modest tiara that matched her dress and had a tiny pattern of small violet gems in shapes of flowers. Her aquamarine eyes stared at the door for a moment longer before holding the bottle of wine she brought for Mikoto she finally knocked on the door.
Many people would think her silly due to how insecure she seemed to be in this relationship. But she knew that she had her reasons, after all, she was still recovering from a relationship that could have been her undoing had her parents not intervened and sent her a guardian angel, or tengu in this case. Her cheeks lightly coloured with a tone of pink as she held the bottle of wine against her chest as if it helped her stay grounded and not give in to the fear and angst she had experienced when Hiroto used to stalk her. And even now, when Mikoto made their relationship public and all, she still felt as if he would not leave her alone and would stall her at every opportunity. That was another reason she had struggled to accept coming to Mikoto’s place. But he made her promise she would do her best to, little by little, get used to living a more normal life now and he mentioned that once she got used to a more peaceful life then she would stop thinking about Hiroto and the possibility of him stalking her even now, after Mikoto taught him a lesson.
It was true that, by dating Mikoto, his fame granted her a sense of safety but sometimes she wondered if he simply wished to go out with her to protect her or if he actually had feelings for her. She knew that she had always allowed him a place of honour in her heart ever since they were children but she never dared to speak of her feelings in fear of rejection or her not being his type. And up to this day her feelings remained unchanged. The only reason she had accepted to become Biroto’s girlfriend had been to try and move on from the feelings she had for Mikoto, thinking it impossible for them to get close the moment he found his fame.
Even though she now thought it silly to date someone in order to repress the feelings she had for Mikoto, back then it had seemed a good idea and the best way to prevent her feelings of love for Mikoto from increasing. In the end, it did nothing for her feelings and she ended up being bullied into doing terrible things, suffering whenever he had a violent feat and psychologically it had been truly challenging. She was surprised that she had managed to fight her way out of such a toxic relationship and remained unscathed, for the most part.
Surprisingly her skin had healed completely and there was no bruise or scar left, but the memories remained and made her weary of trusting others. She took out the little hand mirror that opened up like some small beauty powders did and examined her appearance to ensure she looked presentable. She had already done that a few times but she was a bit nervous and whenever she was nervous she would try to do things to keep her busy while she waited. She clasped it shut and placed it back in her purse after she applied a bit more shiny lipstick, she enjoyed picking flavour lip sticks with Mariko. She had not heard from her in a while, though, she was beginning to worry about her. Maybe she should try speaking with Tetsuya to see if he knew anything about Mariko, out of the blue she stopped receiving messages from her dear friend.
Now a different stage of her life was about to begin and before she could talk herself out of it she decided to come and see if, now that she finally had what her heart desired, things would work out in her favour and they would both be happy together. To be honest, one of the reasons she was a bit nervous was because she had decided she would ask Mikoto in person if he had feelings for her or he had only proposed this relationship to protect her from Hiroto.
It was strange, for someone who was extremely confident in her talent and job as a DJ where people admired the way she carried herself every night, she felt fragile and self conscious at this very moment.
She closed her eyes for a brief moment in order to relax. It was then she thought she saw something, or rather, someone. She turned around and did not see anyone but she noticed a piece of paper was left near where she was standing. She shivered lightly as she knew it had not been there before and she dreaded picking it up. Finally she did and silently gasped as she recognised Hiroto’s handwriting. Apparently he had not given up on her and she felt nauseous with worry. But then, as she looked at the floor on his door there was a gift bag with some roses and a card, she raised her eyebrow. She took a look inside the gift bag and saw some feminine lingerie. Her face reddened and then she straightened up and walked toward the window.
She took a deep breath and shook her head, it looked like Mikoto had his own problems to worry about. Was it right for her to seek refuge in his arms and not offer him protection from fans and admirers who had the indecency of sending him gifts like the one still standing in front of his door? Maybe she could pick it up and get rid of him before he has the embarrassment of finding it right next to his girlfriend.
She leaned down to pick up the gift bag but then she heard the door of his room open. She felt her cheeks blush deeply and in her panic to straighten up she did not realise that the card was sent flying and the gift bag ended up looking as if she were offering it to Mikoto, one leg slipped on the heel making her reach out for his neck with her other hand and the momentum pressed their faces together so that their lips would touch and the wine bottle rested between his chest and her own. She felt absolutely mortified but she knew that if she moved things would get much worse.

<ikoto had been quite busy all morning. He’d had a photoshoot that morning for the cover art for his new CD - though as it featured some songs with Ozanami, he had planned to ask her today if she would join him for a few pictures to go with it. After that, he’d had to come home to cook lunch, though he now had a lovely meal waiting in the garden gazebo for them. He was just about to change into something more casual - he was still dressed in the black leather pants and the deep blue button down shirt he’d worn for the photoshoot - though in the pictures, it had been open to showcase his chiseled chest and stomach . He heard a knock at the door, and realized it was later than he expected. It would be awkward to ask her to wait while he changed, so he decided to just keep what he had on.
Pausing in the hall to check the mirror and make sure his hair was tamed by the dark blue ribbon, he realized he felt very nervous. He and Izanami had gone on a few dates before now, but this was the first time she had come to his house, and the first time he had cooked for her. He hoped she would like the meal he prepared. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, He couldn’t help smiling as he pulled the door open. “Izanami! Sorry I kept you-”
He was surprised when she seemed to fall against him, throwing an arm around his neck and kissing his lips. Still, he couldn’t help chuckling as he returned the kiss, bringing his arms up to hold her on instinct. When he pulled back, he raised a teasing eyebrow at her. “Missed me, hmmm?” He stepped back into his front hall, drawing her with him and closing the door. “If I’d known that would be the reaction, I’d have cooked lunch for you sooner…” He winked, and laughed softly. Noticing the bottle of wine, he took it with a grateful smile. “Oh, I’m so glad you thought of this. It’ll go perfectly with lunch, and I forgot to pick some up.” It was then that he noticed the gift bag, and raised an eyebrow. “Izanami, you spoil me. You’ll have to let me take you shopping later as a thank you…” He took the bag and peered inside. “Roses? I can put those in a vase on the table… And what’s this…?”
Setting the wine on the side table to free a hand, he reached into the bag and was surprised to feel silky soft fabric. P;;ing it out, he held it up, looking at it for a long moment as he tried to figure out what it was. Soon enough he realized it was a sexy piece of pure white lingerie with an iridescent shimmer to it. He was surprised as he hadn’t expected something this bold from her so soon, and though he blushed a bit, he covered it with a chuckle. “You really are trying to spoil me, aren’t you?” During this little tease, he was about to put the lindere back into the bag when he got a whiff of perfume from it. Although he recognized it, he knew it wasn’t Izanami’s. Bhe blushed more solidly and set the bag aside, his expression becoming more embarrassed. “I’m sorry, Izanami… It seems that this was from my ex-girlfriend. I should’ve known she was brazen enough to pull something like this.” He looked more earnestly down at her. “Forgive my teasing. I’ll get rid of it after our date.”
Feeling a bit awkward, he looked from her to the rest of his apartment. “Do you want a tour…? Or should we head straight up for lunch?”

Izanami was already quite hesitant toward coming to see Mikoto in his own house, partly because the relationship washes and partly because of the relationship she had jut managed to escape. She was not sure what made her agree with Mikoto or how they got so close, actually. In fact, she wasn’t sure she deserved his affections. She felt as if she were a curse and just by being with her, Mikoto risked becoming part of that and getting hurt. She also knew that his part relationship had not been ideal. And she nearly did not show up at all, she felt worried that being with her might put him in danger and that he would tire of her. However, she had sacrificed herself for far too long and this was the one chance at happiness and at her coming back to life. She could gain confidence, get her feet on safe ground and further develop her career. It would also be a chance fr her to trust another person, due to her past this had become a difficult thing to achieve. She was quite aware of that and that strengthened her resolution. Mikoto had given her that extra oomph when she had needed one in order to break with the walls that forced her to remain in Hiroto’s company. That was why, she wanted to trust this man who inspired her to not give up on her life and become a better person. She wanted to be close to him and experienced more benefits of being in his company and also get to know him better. It was true that they had grown up together and she had always loved him, but their lives had changed as they grew older and she never though Mikoto would look at her with eyes full of love. They were from different worlds and he had a renown celebrity as his girlfriend for a long time. And yet, she was finally with the man she had always loved. She felt her cheeks colour softly at her own clumsiness.
“Izanami! Sorry I kept you-”
It felt as if every time they met she ended up doing something ridiculous and feared that one day Mikoto might get tired of her. And yet, he was still here looking at her with those loving eyes and helping her to get back on her own feet. His reaction surprised her slightly but it pleased her greatly. She had longed to feel the warmth and sweetness of his lips upon hers for such a long time. And now, albeit due to her own foolishness, the kiss had been rather unexpected but welcome, nonetheless. Her cheeks turned a shade of pink as soon as she registered that she was kissing his lips and he was kissing her back. But she closed her eyes eventually and enjoyed that small and intimate moment. Nothing could ruin it, nor would she forget their first kiss. She knew that, knowing Mikoto, he might tease her and she knew she could never be ready to ignore such but for now, she enjoyed the closeness and the kiss. Despite the situation it was still a special moment and she would commit it to memory and remember this special moment whenever the darkness threatened to pull her under, once more. Once he pulled back and helped her stand safely on her two feet she looked down in embarrassment as he led her inside his duplex. She missed the closeness already, in fact, this kiss had been like giving a starving child a bit of candy but hiding the rest. She had longed for Mikoto to love her for so long that the kiss had not been enough to satiate her hunger and she was both shocked and embarrassed. Of course she would not tell him any of this!
“Missed me, hmmm?”
He was such a tease, she could feel her cheeks burning. But she would not let him off that easily, she would make him blush in kind. “I have, ever since we were children I’ve longed for you. I’ve waited.” Even though he always enjoyed teasing her if she caught him off guard with her honesty, even though she would do so bashfully, he would also feel embarrassed. She could tease him back, she looked deeply into his eyes knowing that she could do so freely now, she could caress his lovely long hair and kiss his lips. She could hold him and be honest with his feelings. She did not have to hide them from him anymore. It felt like a great fog had been lifted and she could allow herself to be happy for the first time in her life. She smirked at her tease and reached a hand to caress his cheek gently before she ensured the door was locked behind him. She did not want anyone to disturb them as they were both busy people.
“If I’d known that would be the reaction, I’d have cooked lunch for you sooner…”
She felt the colour darken in her cheeks once more, but she felt the gears had started turning when she teased him back moments before and she found herself smirking, “Yes, you should have.” Her hair moving elegantly as she walked toward him and rather finger along his lips while her eyes stared deeply into his own before she ran her arms around his neck and their lips met in a passionate kiss. She wanted to communicate everything she felt for this man, she could scarcely believe they were together like this now. After a moment she pulled back and smiled up at him.
“Oh, I’m so glad you thought of this. It’ll go perfectly with lunch, and I forgot to pick some up.”
She smiled softly, “I always have good ideas.” She said that with little confidence, however. Due to the toxicity of her previous relationship she had to put together the pieces of the person she once was but she knew that with Mikoto she would be able to do so. Not only was he a link to her past but also the man she had loved for many years. And the joy of being with him was already removing from her being all traces of the darkness pain she had endured. Her body and soul needed to heal, but she knew he was on the right path now.
“Roses? I can put those in a vase on the table… And what’s this…?”
“Wait!” Said Izanami in embarrassment as Mikoto took the bag and looked inside. On the one hand she suspected who had given him the bag and it annoyed her and on the other she did not want him to think she had brought such a gift on their first date at his place. She did not want him to think she was an easy woman or that she did not love Mikoto for everything he represented. She felt her cheeks red the moment he examined the piece of lingerie and, for a moment, she worried thinking she was acting like any of his fans or found it offensive. She was too embarrassed to explain that the bag was not hers. She felt her heartbeat increase at such a speed she worried he would hear it.
“You really are trying to spoil me, aren’t you?”
She noticed the blush and was a bit surprised but she was relieved he did not feel angered or offended by such a thing. “Well… I…” She was still trying to find the words to say in order to explain the situation when Mikoto held the bag as if he realised something. Could he tell then that the gift wasn’t hers?
“I’m sorry, Izanami… It seems that this was from my ex-girlfriend. I should’ve known she was brazen enough to pull something like this… Forgive my teasing. I’ll get rid of it after our date.”
It was his turn to feel embarrassed and that helped Izanami regain composure. Then she wondered, if his ex girlfriend had left that by his hood could hat mean she still had keys to his duplex or, worse, had he put cameras up? She knew Hiroto had done that back at Izanami’s place and she had to hire a professional to have them all removed. However, for a moment she came to the realisation that Mikoto’s ex was just as bad as hers. And that angered her, on top of that, she had brought such a bold gift to someone who was no longer a part of her decadent life and he was also now with Izanami so it offended her. She Then shook her head and said, “Mikoto, we both have been through a lot but I suspect she might have had access to your duplex before leaving that gift, she might have… cameras installed. My ex did at some point and I had to get them removed.” She felt a bit scared remembering that part of her life but if his ex was watching she would give her a show. She embraced her beloved warmly and kissed his cheek, “There is nothing to forgive, and there is no need to throw that away.”
Her cheeks were a hint of vermillion before she said silently and bashfully, “I… I will wear that tonight.” They were both adults. Although, no matter how much she tried to reassure herself, she still felt incredibly shy and embarrassed. It was true that she loved Mikoto deeply but their relationship was quite new and she was already much more intimate with Mikoto than she had ever been with Hiroto. But, the day she agreed to date Mikoto, she promised herself that she would recover form her past and live with no regrets and she did not want that woman to think that Mikoto missed her at all because both would make each other happy now. She smiled warmly and then kissed his cheek. She knew Mikoto, after all, he was a passionate man and, on top of that, the fact that he had blushed meant he saw her as a man would a woman. It pleased her because she had made every effort to look beautiful that day.
“Do you want a tour…? Or should we head straight up for lunch?”
She smiled at the sudden change of topic and then said, “I’m happy to have a tour now and then have lunch, if you like.” It was then she realised he was wearing clothes he would normally wear for a photoshoot and she felt her cheeks warm. Still, she would not complain because he was a very handsome man in general, she leaned up to briefly kiss his lips and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt to slightly reveal his chiseled chest before she smirked, “You look very handsome today. I appreciate the effort to grab my attention.” She winked at him. It was her turn to tease him now.
