”I promise I'll hide nothing from you… Though I do hope we can be friends as well…”
He was glad that her promise seemed earnest, he could not have expected any less from her. Although, he did hope she would do as promised. Many spoke lightly of things like these but Isamu never forgave treason, not after… He ran a hand through his hair. It was best he did not go back to that dark place. But he wanted to make sure she knew how important a promise was for him. He looked deeply into her eyes and saw that she was being as serious as him. He nodded and then looked away, her last words puzzled him. Friends? Did she truly believe she could be friends with a bodyguard? Few customers ever showed such… tendency. He could not hide his amazement, “You would wish that? It is so uncommon, most persons only see you as an object used to protect them.” Isamu looked deeply into her eyes, was this what made her so unique? He couldn’t quite decide…
He was also a bit shocked when she moved toward him and laid on the grass just as he did, did she truly feel that comfortable in his presence? They had only met a couple of hours ago and yet he felt as if he had known her… And suddenly he saw a great dilld, and a beautiful maiden with hair deep green like Hotori was running into his arms. He blinked and realised he had been staring at her and he quickly looked back at the stars.
“I don't mind… I’ve got a fairly simple schedule right now, so it shouldn't be hard for you to learn.”
He chuckled at her words though he was a bit surprised she gladly accepted having him around her all the time, “I know your schedule already, in fact, I was planning to take you to University, unless you would not like that?” He turned to look at her, their eyes met for a moment and then he leaned to his side, “I was told you are a healthy person, who would rather walk instead of using any means of transport so I have a proposition for you… We will ride my bike most of the time, and some days when you have time off we can walk. We could even go for morning jogs if you wish. I would not like to affect your lifestyle…” He was a fit person he could easily get used to doing sports activities with her if she so desired. He then realised he had just invited himself as if he were her friend or boyfriend to doing things with her… He quickly turned around as if to look ahead and said, “Forgive me… I just feel it is very easy conversing with you, you are unlike any customer have ever had…”
"Thank you… I quite enjoy your company as well…”
Was she blushing? Really? He eyed her hoping she did not realise he was doing so and he realised he found it… adorable to see her blush. He rolled his eyes at himself he had to relax and keep his cool. He was a hired hand to protect her, to watch her, to shield her, nothing more…
"Perhaps we should head back soon…”
He suddenly realised they probably had been here for a very long time. Surely she needed her beauty sleep and he had to get her home safely. “Of course.” He noticed she shivered lightly and decided it was best they made a move on yet she was not moving. He leaned his weight on his tiptoes and on his left hand and was about to stand up when a piece of dirt and grass moved aside and he slipped. It was then he realised he had landed on top of Hotori and he was resting his weight on his hands, which were around her. “Forgive me…” he muttered. He felt utterly ridiculous and yet he felt as if he could not look away from her emerald eyes.
The wind caressed their long hair and hers touched his hand and he felt as if he once more had memories of that other girl, smiling so sweetly at him, caressing his cheek and looking deeply into her eyes. Before he could collect himself, he slowly leaned forward, almost as if his lips were looking for Hotori’s. And he moved lower until their faces were mere inches from each other. but then the memory faded and he realised what he was about to do. He gasped and blinked before he quickly moved away. “I’m sorry, I… slipped…”
He placed the piece of earth that had come off back in place and then said, “Let's go.” He did not turn to look back at her, his face red as a tomato. he kept walking back into the restaurant. He embraced Tuturu-sama and then kissed her cheek promising to call her the next day. He reached his motorbike and then put on his helmet and handed Hotori her own helmet. He did NOT want to know what she thought of him…

“You would wish that? It is so uncommon, most persons only see you as an object used to protect them.”
"Then those people are fools." Hotori said without hesitation. "You are my bodyguard, but that is just a job. It does not mean that you are not still a human being." She gave him a brief but friendly smile. "Besides, if we are to work so closely together, it only seems logical that we would be friends. It is much easier to work with friends than it is to work with strangers." She hoped he would understand what she meant, as it sounded weird to say out loud, but it was indeed how she felt.
“I know your schedule already, in fact, I was planning to take you to University, unless you would not like that? I was told you are a healthy person, who would rather walk instead of using any means of transport so I have a proposition for you… We will ride my bike most of the time, and some days when you have time off we can walk. We could even go for morning jogs if you wish. I would not like to affect your lifestyle… Forgive me… I just feel it is very easy conversing with you, you are unlike any customer have ever had…”
She was surprised that he knew of her tendency to walk most places, and yet did not scold her for the safety hazard it presented. She listened to his suggestion, and felt her lips quirk up slightly when he felt the need to apologize for being able to converse with her. "I accept your proposition." She said simply, still staring up at the stars above them. "I must confess...I really like riding on your bike, so I think I can make the sacrifice and somehow force myself to suffer through it on a regular basis." She looked over at him, and her eyes sparkled with merriment at her teasing words. After just a moment, she looked skyward once more. "Please don't feel you have to apologize. I find you quite easy to converse with as well, and I would much rather we be open and honest with one another."
They were just about to rise and head home, yet Hotori found herself hesitating just a moment longer. Isamu was moving to stand up when it seemed he slipped and landed on top of her. She stared up into his amber eyes for a long moment, and she got a very clear flash of-it could not be memory, as it had never happened, but it was something. She saw Isamu, dressed quite differently than he was now. The her-of-memory reached up and caressed his cheek, giving a gently, tinkling laugh that she recognized as her own. The vision faded, and she was once again staring into Isamu's amber eyes. He was so close, and he seemed to be leaning in closer. Was he going to kiss her? She realized, much to her own shock, that she would not mind if he did. Her hand twitched at her side, longing to reach up and caress his cheek as she had in the vision. And yet, before she could move...
“I’m sorry, I… slipped…”
He moved away from her faster than she would've thought possible, and was shortly heading back toward the restaurant. She quickly pulled herself to her feet and started after him, though his longer legs gave him a faster stride. She hesitated when she came to Tuturu-sama. "Goodnight, Tuturu-sama. Thank you for a lovely expirence. I hope to come back often." She gave the older woman a friendly smile before heading out to where Isamu had parked the bike. She had half expected him to leave without her, given his sudden apparent desire to put distance between them. She noticed he had his helmet on already took her own without comment, though she silently wished she could see his face. She climbed onto the bike and let her own thoughts fill the time until they reached her apartment.
Had she done something wrong? He was a professional, as he had proven already. She had no doubt that he had honestly slipped, but had she misread his intention when she thought he wanted to kiss her? Had something shown in her expression that he did not like? And while she was pondering questions she had no means of answering...what was that vision? It was obviously Isamu she had seen...was it some sort of silly daydream? But it had felt remembered and not imagined. She wished to rub her forehead, but could not with the helmet on as she rode. She settled for biting her lower lip and silently deciding to give him the time and space he seemed to desire for the rest of the evening. Hopefully by morning they would be able to move past...whatever this had been.
When they reached her apartment building, she led the way up to her door, and unlocked it to let them in. Once they were both inside, she locked up, and glanced at Isamu for a moment before turning to pet Aya where she perched on one of the chairs. "Thank you again for dinner." She moved to gather up the two bears to take them to her room with her. "I suppose we should both try to get some rest. If you need anything, you know where to find me." It sounded silly, even to her own ears, but it was an offer she was so used to making whenever anyone else stayed with her. She paused at the door to her bedroom, and gave him a small smile, hoping that wouldn't further upset him. "Goodnight, Isamu. I hope you sleep well."
Once she had slipped into her own room, Hotori dropped her two beloved bears onto their usual spot on her bed before changing back into the pajamas she had been wearing when Isamu had first arrived. She decided not to text Haru back, as she didn't feel like dealing with his teasing and questions. She'd put up with his scolding about worrying her 'big brother' tomorrow in class. Once she was changed, she climbed into her bed and pulled the two bears close to her, wishing they could answer all of the questions swirling around her head. She toyed with the pendant she'd place around Sir Teddy's neck. She wasn't sure why she had wanted the pendant, a simply amber colored stone on a leather cord, to put on the bear, but she had. It had felt fitting, somehow. She closed her eyes, and saw a brief flash of herself offering a similar pendant to that strangely dressed dream-Isamu, whispering a gentle "Thank you". She shook her head as she pulled both bears close and tried to sleep.

"Then those people are fools… You are my bodyguard, but that is just a job. It does not mean that you are not still a human being… Besides, if we are to work so closely together, it only seems logical that we would be friends. It is much easier to work with friends than it is to work with strangers.”
He was surprised to say the least and looked into her eyes for any trace of humour. But no, she seemed quite serious about this. He was comforted knowing some people out there still had a heart like Hotori and he nodded at her words although was unsure as to how to reply to the friendship thing. He was not used to being close to his customers and he had always been taught never to fraternise with them. So what was so different about this young woman then? At the mention of the topic of friendship, he felt as if he had already had this conversation with Hotori. And he vaguely heard her saying she would like them to be friends. He then heard himself replying, kissing her hand and promising his friendship if that would make her happy. but he was not entirely sure what it was, his body seems to have a will of its own and before he could do or say anything he was reliving that moment but this time, he himself was moving like he did back in that other life of his, and sating the same words… Something inside him moved him to approach her and take her hand gently and kiss it briefly before saying, “Hotori-sama, if a friend is what you need, I will always be here for you. I will protect you through thick and thin.” Where had he heard that before? He couldn’t have imagined he would have said such words. It was a promise he now had to keep and he returned to the present and realised he was still holding her hand.
”I accept your proposition… I must confess...I really like riding on your bike, so I think I can make the sacrifice and somehow force myself to suffer through it on a regular basis… Please don't feel you have to apologize. I find you quite easy to converse with as well, and I would much rather we be open and honest with one another.”
He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment and thought the worst of what she would reply, but actually, she was rather understanding and human and he was glad she liked the idea. To her last words he did not reply, but merely looked back at the restaurant. He usually loved his job since it allowed him to protect people’s lives and souls, but… He had a feeing he would enjoy this one job best. In fact, he had not officially started yet but, he could easily say he was already enjoying himself quite a lot. He had not had this much fun in years and wondered if Hotori felt the same. He was pleased that she would keep her promise too and be honest with him and not hide anything. He smirked at the mention of his motorbike, “She is a beauty to ride on…” In the past many ladies had even begged to ride on the back of his bike but he was always rather… selective on who could ride and who could not, “just so you know, not just anyone gets to ride even among my customers.” He smiled to himself and then decided to get up and take her back to her flat.
After the incident he was a bit uncertain what had taken over him and so he sued the moment he walked back to his motorbike to recover, take in dee breaths and hide his emotions once more, keep them in check before he did anything that could offend his new customer. They had gone out so she could enjoy a meal and get to know him professionally much better, this was no date, and anyway he never went out with anyone. It was best to leave things as they were. He watched her talk to his adoptive mother and once she tok her helmed he was relieved so see she would only get on the back and hold on to him. he did not ask any questions nor interrupted his concentration as he drove around the busy streets of Tokyo and yet he seemed to enjoy the feeling of having her body so close to him. He sighed, he would have to get over whatever this was, it was driving him insane. Surely, he had been the bodyguard of so many persons in the past, what was Hotori’s case so different? What made him react like this? These and many other thoughts occupied his mind whenever the red light forced them to stop. Once they arrived, he left the motorbike parked in the respective place and securely fastened and locked. He gave Hotori her purse back and then put on his sunglasses to examine the building as they walked back to her flat.
After she locked Isamu looked around, everything seemed to be in place. That was good. He then noticed Aya jumped off the sofa and walked between his legs and he leaned forth and caressed the cat for a moment before he watched Hotori as she picked her two bears and seemed in a rush to get some rest. Maybe what he had almost done did upset her, he would let her cool down during the night and apologize in the morning, hopefully she would be more understanding then? What? No, he did not need understanding, he had been a fool and anyone would have disapproved of him for behaving like that. She thanked him again for the meal and he said it was nothing.
“I suppose we should both try to get some rest. If you need anything, you know where to find me… Goodnight, Isamu. I hope you sleep well.”
He rubbed the back of his head as she spoke and said, “Yes, you need to sleep…” Once she smiled at him before closing the for of her bedroom he nodded and removed his sunglasses, “Goodnight, Hotori.” once the door was closed he face-palmed and then walked to his bedroom. He was glad to see his things were there already and he decide that before he gave in to his exhaustion he would organise everything. He was so used to being silent that he could fix his wardrobe, open his harp and leave his room shining clean and organised without making that much noise. He took the empty boxes and unfolded them, he would ensure to recycle them the next day. For now he was quite pleased with how his room looked. He turned off the lights around the house and finally went to his room and closed the door. He placed the sunglasses on the table and removed his shoes and changed his trousers for some long black trousers that were more lose and comfortable and he used as pyjamas a lot. He removed his black silken shirt and put on a sleeveless grey shirt. Then, after setting the alarm and leaving his phone in silent mode, he got in his bed and pulled the covers, however, he was still thinking about all those strange things, and he rested his head on his hands, just as he had been doing minutes ago, in the company of Hotori in the gardens…

After tossing and turning for some time, Hotori had finally managed to drift off to sleep, but her dreams were troubled. She was in some cold, dark place. She could feel the chilled bite of chains on her arms and legs, and although she could not be sure, she thought she was naked. She fought off some mostly unseen attacker, and although they exchanged words, they were garbled in her dreams. She awoke with a small gasp, and bolted upright in her bed.
She'd had similar dreams in the past, but the details never seemed to stay with her for long after waking. She also seemed to have trouble going back to sleep afterward. Perhaps tonight was meant to be once of those nights when sleep simply eluded her. She lifted her smaller bear to her chest and hugged it tightly, seeking comfort in her favored toy, even if she still could not remember where exactly it had come from. She toyed with the pendant for some time as the details of the dream began to slip away, as they always did. Her mind chased after them, wanting to make sense of something so bizarre, even as her body seemed to be acting of its own accord. She tossed back the covers and, still clutching her bear, stood. She had left the door to her bedroom cracked just enough that Aya could enter or leave as she pleased, and through that crack Hotori now saw the apartment was dark, and all seemed quiet.
She padded softly into the living room on bare feet looking for her small kitten. Aya was not in her room, and didn't appear to be in the living room, so she must have gone into Isamu's room. He must be asleep by now, and she didn't wish to disturb him. She only wanted her kitten to come to bed with her. She moved as quietly as she could to his door, and paused, listening for a moment. She heard no movement within, so she pushed the door open, and peered around the edge of the door at the room within. She was only looking for her kitten, after all, so the words she softly whispered next surprised her.
"Isamu...are you awake?" She stepped fully into the room, and scanned it, seeing no sign of the white fluffball here either. She waited until she saw some indication that he was, indeed, awake before she spoke again. "I'm sorry to bother you. I..." What she coudl remember of her dream was a bit embarrassing, and she wasn't sure she wished to share the details. "...couldn't sleep." She realized she was still clutching her bear, Sir Teddy, to her chest, and bit her lip, waiting for him to laugh at how childish she must seem, This behavior was better suited to someone twenty years younger than her...not a young woman living on her own-until recently, at least-attending university and attempting to make a professional musical career.
Why had she come here? Why not call her aunt, who kept strange hours anyway, or Haru or Shouri, who had both said she could call them any time for any reason? Why had she chosen to look like a fool in front of the one person she'd only just met. She felt inexplicably drawn to him, as though she could indeed trust him, but he was a grown man and she was a grown woman, and surely he'd find this behavior silly.
And yet, something in her felt as if coming to him when she had bad dreams was...natural. As if she'd done it before, although she knew she couldn't have done. One thing was for sure, as she stood there in the doorway, her teeth worrying gently at her lower lip, she knew that once he did, indeed, laugh at her for this, she'd finally be able to put these silly notions that she'd known him before, somehow, to rest. They were illogical, and only served to confuse her thoughts and stir up emotions she really didn't understan.

Despite being awake for a while, Isamu could not fall asleep just yet. In all honesty he was used to sleeping a few hours, always ensuring to be the last one to fall asleep and ensure the safety of his customers. But, once he could hear steady breathing nearby he assumed Hotori was finally asleep and he closed his eyes. He turned to his right side and then sighed before he allowed sleep to take hold of him. Even as he allowed his body to rest he could easily wake up to the smallest of sounds, it was in his nature as a bodyguard to always be ready for danger, it did not matter what happened, he must always be ready to protect his charge. his breathing was peaceful and he did not move in a while, that is, not until he heard a gasp and his eyes-like those of a mountain lion-shone an amber light as they opened, almost as if to suggest he could see in the darkness, although not true, but one would think that. He was about to get up and run to her bedroom when he remembered, for the hundredth time, what had transpired back at the gardens and he sighed exasperated with himself and decided to lie on his back once more, his long silky hair was spread about the pillow yet he seldom removed the ribbon, he wanted to always be ready for action and his hair would just get in the way.
And then, he heard footsteps, she was awake, after waking up he had been waiting for her to fall asleep but she could not and in the end decided to probably go and get something to drink or eat? No, it seemed as fi she were looking for something. He expected her to call her aunt or maybe that Haru friend of hers, after all, that was what some of his young clients would do and so he finally rolled to his left and closed his eyes, he would wait for her to go to sleep before he could rest as well. He heard a tiny noise, almost like a meow, probably Aya was awake as well and walking about, but she soon moved quickly when she heard Hotori approach. And it was then that he heard her standing by his door that his eyes opened again and he leaned on his left arm.
It was surprising, he would have never expected anyone to come and look for him just because they could not sleep. There had never been that trust in the past. And yet, he felt quite pleased for being the first person she decided to contact about her nightmares. He waited patiently, and was beginning to think she was probably too embarrassed and had not the courage to knock and tell him she could not sleep. Yes, in the little time they had spent together he had learned much about her character and as her protector he only aimed to make her feel comfortable. So it should not be surprised if he examined everything with great detail.
“Isamu…are you awake?”
He looked up at her and even in the darkness he could still make up her shape and her long green hair and she seemed to be hugging one of her teddy bears. Had he not known her he could have sworn she was a five-year-old. It made him smile tenderly and then he realised she was embarrassed and so he decided not to show the amusement. But he got out of bed and approached her whispering softly, “Hotori… is something the matter?”
“I’m sorry to bother you. I...couldn't sleep.”
He was not sure what kind of instinct made him act as he did next but, he stood right in front of her and closed the door behind her as he said, “I know, I woke up to your call.” He placed a finger on her chin and gently lifted it for their eyes to meet. His amber eyes shone in the dark. He instinctively smiled and then embraced her warmly, “You had a nightmare…” he muttered while he pulled her closer to him. Unaware of what he was doing, a hand moved to caress her long green hair which was surprisingly smoother than he could have eve remained it would be. He tried to lighten the mood of the situation and said with a smirk, “Is your bodyguard giving you nightmares? I… I seriously hope I did not startle you a few hours ago…” He had to take that off his chest.
He gently picked her up with so much ease, as if she would weight nothing more than a feather, and he placed her on his bed and he sat next to her, “Would you like to talk about it? Or maybe drink an infusion? We could also talk until you feel ready to go back.” He caressed her cheek, unsure as to what made him be so… tender with this girl. For some reason he truly cared about her and he was not entirely sure what supernatural force dragged him to do this.

"Isamu...are you awake?"
“Hotori… is something the matter?”
“I’m sorry to bother you. I...couldn't sleep.”
“I know, I woke up to your call.”
Hotori felt instantly bad for waking him. She was about to apologize and tell him she'd go back to bed, when he gently pushed the door shut behind her. He then tilted her chin up so that their eyes met, and she could just make out a gentle smile on his lips. This caused an answering smile to cross her own. So he didn't think she was silly and childish. He embraced her warmly, and she felt the last of her anxieties melt away. Still clutching her bear with one arm, she brought he other hand up to rest on his chest as he gently stroked her hair and spoke once more.
“You had a nightmare… Is your bodyguard giving you nightmares? I… I seriously hope I did not startle you a few hours ago…”
"Don't be silly..." She said, still in his embrace. "If you were the cause of my nightmares, would I really have sought you out like this upon waking?" Her tone was light, but she realized that without it even being a conscious thought, she had sought him out for comfort. When he picked her up, it had the easy feeling as if he'd carried her many times before, although she knew he hadn't. And the action, which might have made her feel like a child, or even scared of the intentions of any other man, instead left her feeling...comfortable. That was realyl all there was to it.
“Would you like to talk about it? Or maybe drink an infusion? We could also talk until you feel ready to go back.”
He caressed her cheek, and she felt herself lean into his touch, her eyes drifting closed for just a moment. She realized after a short pause that she hadn't answered him. "The details have mostly faded, so I doubt I could tell you much of what happened in my dream." It was true. She could now only recall the darkness, and that wasn't enough to bother telling Isamu about. Even that seemed to fade as she sat there beside him. "An infusion might be nice, but I wouldn't want to trouble you...I can make my own in a moment." She had learned from her aunt how to make them for all sorts of issues, and wondered why she hadn't thought of that herself, instead of disturbing Isamu. "For now," She reached up and placed her hand over his, gently pulling it away from her cheek and simply holding it in her own, which rested in her lap. "I think I'd just like to sit her a few moments, if that's okay?" She set her bear gently beside her, and looked down at their hands. "I'm feeling better already, really..."
She looked up at him and allowed their eyes to meet. She felt as if she'd spent countless spans of time gazing into those amber depths, though that was still impossible. Suddenly, as she sat there, she realized she really didn't care how illogical it was. It wasn't as if she was going to confess all of this to him anyway...these strange flashes of almost-memory that could not be. As she stared into his eyes, she felt another of those almost memories come to her. Isamu was injured, and she had jsut come out of a bath. He brushed her hair back, called her beautiful, and began to lean in. Without realizing it, Hotori began to lean up toward Isamu. And the vision was gone. She realized she was leaning toward Isamu, with every intent to kiss him, and with a blush, she recalled his reaction earlier in the evening. He didn't want to kiss her, and she'd only frighten him away if she insisted on trying. She looked away suddenly, releasing his hand to pick her bear back up. She held it close to her chest, embraced in both arms, and rested her chin on it's soft, fluff-filled head. She could feel the slight coolness of the stone of the pendant on the bear brush against the back of her arm. She hoped her near slip-up would not have been too obvious. She didn't want to make things awkward between them. "Maybe...I should go make that infusion now and go back to bed so you can get some rest...We've both got a long day ahead of us tomorrow."

"Don't be silly… If you were the cause of my nightmares, would I really have sought you out like this upon waking?"
He noticed the light tone in her voice and the way she smiled back at him and he smirked, “Oh… I am so relieved… for a moment I thought you had come to punish me for giving you bad dreams.” He winked at her. He was a rather cheeky man, it had to be said, but he had learned that with the profession he now held. And as ridiculous as it sounded some people would choose him solely on his looks or cheeky personality. But he was not like that all the time, he was also professional and serious when he had to be. Right now, however, Hotori needed comfort and to be reassured. You had to be sensitive when trying to comfort someone, especially if this person was a lady. The last thing you could ever want was to upset such a person, you only had one chance to make someone feel better. And isamu was determined to not ruin this moment.
Surprisingly she had allowed her to physically comfort her, and what is more, to bring her to his bed, with no complain or deadly glare headed his way. He wondered though, how and why she trusted him that much. Yes, he was her bodyguard and would never do anything that could bring her to harm but… it was still puzzling that she trusted him so much already and seemed to be comfortable around him. In a way it made him think she liked his touch…was he so full of himself that he believed she liked him? That was ridiculous right?
”The details have mostly faded, so I doubt I could tell you much of what happened in my dream.”
He smiled and said, “Then let us forget all about it and move on to the next page. I think it was probably best that you forgot the dream if it brought you discomfort. You can relax here, I will fight off all your nightmares and I am sure your bear will shield you form them as well…” He could not avoid noticing though the necklace around the bear, it had a stone that was so similar to the colour of his eyes… He felt as if suddenly he was standing next to Hotori, she was dressed differently and extending her arms around his neck he realised she had placed a neckless with an amber stone in it around his neck… He looked at her surprised but her sweet smile and the words that followed made him sigh in happiness. And then, suddenly, he was back n the real world, why did this keep on happening lately? Was there something they did not know about one another?
“An infusion might be nice, but I wouldn't want to trouble you...I can make my own in a moment.”
He smiled, “Oh, in that case I would love to watch you make one, I have yet to see a celebrity making tea.” He teased her with a smile on his lips. Of course that did not mean he wanted her out of his room now, they could wait until later since he now felt like he would like to try one of her so-called infusions. He only hoped she was not the kind of person to burn her hands when touching a warm kettle. He smirked and looked down at her as she spoke once more.
”For now… I think I'd just like to sit her a few moments, if that's okay?”
It was difficult to explain what he felt when she took his hand and then held it with hers. His eyes examined her eyes, there was no malice nor anything that could alarm him as to the nature of this action. He deemed she simply wanted to hold his hand in search for comfort. She had a nightmare after all. He nodded and said, “You can stay here for as long as you like, Hotori, you needn’t ask and I am glad you came to me and kept your word.” He could not stand people who hid things out of self-pity.
“I’m feeling better already, really…”
He smiled at her words and allowed their hands to remain together. He did not know why he did that, but he would not deny something that felt so right. He looked down at her bear, it must really mean a lot to her. He caressed its head, it was really soft, but he was determined she would be much softer than any teddy. And then, he felt her eyes looking into his one and he returned to glare. She looked in a trance, as if she could remember something long forgotten and he hoped she was not reliving the nightmares, however, there was a smile upon her lips. And before he knew it, she was slowly moving closer and closer to him, her face to close to him he could feel her breath and her lips moving toward his own. He gasped and was shocked but he did to move away. Did this mean she… wanted to kiss him? Was he imagining things again? He pinched his arm and realised that Hotori was still moving closer to him. His hear was beating much faster and he could feel his body tense. What could he do? Or more importantly what did she expect him or want him to do? He ran a hand through his hair before he decided he would just pretend he had not seen. Yes, it was best to protect his professional life and not let anyone in…
But then…
she looked so hurt, so let down…
"Maybe...I should go make that infusion now and go back to bed so you can get some rest...We've both got a long day ahead of us tomorrow.”
He was rather impressed but still he could not simply let her go away like this. Not after remembering he had almost kissed her back at the garden and had turned around and left her there, sitting, feeling confused. Maybe she would have kissed him back had he dared to? What was he afraid of? Rejection? A slap to the face?
No, that was not it…
He was not afraid but… what if she truly did not feel anything at all and why did it bother him so much when he did not know this girl? Well, it felt like he did actually… He finally decided to reply to her words and he said, with as much determination as a General would in the open battlefield, “Later…” He did not know where that commandeering tone came from, maybe it was part of those memories he could not remember neither forget? But his dominating attitude did not change as one hand moved to take her teddy bear gently and put it on the bed table. He moved closer to her and when their eyes met once more he whispered, “Hotori…” And he did not know what drove him to do what he did next, it was almost as if he could see another memory displaying before his eyes, Hotori was covered only by a towel, and her hear was wet yet still beautiful and he caressed her hair and moved it to her back and while his hand still ran down her long green tresses, he leaned down before he whispered again, “Beautiful”…
Once their lips were mere inches from each other, his amber lit eyes looked deeply into her emeralds before he closed them and he slowly savoured the taste of her lips upon his. His hands pulled her closers to him and the soft kiss evolved into one a bit more passionate. Once hand moved to caress her long hair and the other kept her close to him.

“Oh, in that case I would love to watch you make one, I have yet to see a celebrity making tea.”
Hotori laughed. "You must know some very lazy celebrities then..." She was truly enjoying this little back-and-forth with him, and although she was certain it would not constantly be like this, it was quite nice to know that he could lighten up and joke. She was one that enjoyed being able to tease her friends and being teased in return...even if Haru sometimes teased too much.
“You can stay here for as long as you like, Hotori, you needn’t ask and I am glad you came to me and kept your word.”
She couldn't imagine not keeping her word. A promise was an important thing, and she had promised not to hide anything from him. Was that why she had subconsciously come to him after her dream? No, it felt like there was more to it than that, even if the reason why seemed to slip away every time she almost grasped it. She almost kissed him...she wanted to desperately, and yet she was afraid of his rejection. Well, maybe it wasn't his rejection she feared...she simply knew that it all left her feeling so confused.
"Maybe...I should go make that infusion now and go back to bed so you can get some rest...We've both got a long day ahead of us tomorrow.” She was about to flee the room, feeling quite foolish, when he said a single word. Just one word, and yet it had such command that she couldn't help but obey. And the way he said her name...
"Later... Hotori..."
She allowed him to take the bear and put it aside, her eyes locking onto his. Her heart was racing and she wondered if she was dreaming. That would make sense of all of this, wouldn't it? And yet she knew she was awake. She had to be. What happened next would be far too cruel a dream. He leaned in, never breaking their eye contact. When theit lips were nearly touching, he closed his eyes and she followed suit.
Their lips net, and she felt an instant fire kindle within. His arms drew her closer as one hand caressed her hair. She shifted just slightly to bring them closer together as the kiss deepened. One of her arms wrapped around his neck while the other hand settled first on his cheek and then slipped down to his chest, resting above his heart. This sensation was brand new and comfortably familiar all at once, and she wondered who this man was that he could inspire such contradictions in her.
When at last she pulled away for breath, it was with great reluctance, as if she feared that, once the kiss was broken, it could never be reclaimed. She rested her head against him for a moment, eyes still closed as she took several deep breaths. She moved to catch one of his hands, interlacing their fingers. When she spoke again, her tone was light, but she was not making light of the situation. "Definitely better than an infusion...though I'm not sure it will help me sleep..." She pulled his hand up to her lips and kissed the knuckles gently before opening her eyes at last. She was sure she'd have to move eventually, but at that moment she wanted nothing more than to stay in his arms, and feel his lips once more.

"You must know some very lazy celebrities then…”
That laughter, so familiar and yet at the same time puzzling. Why did it keep on feeling as if he had known her for a very long time? His eyes watched her as she laughed and spoke and he shrugged with a grin, “Some are lazy others start to cook too willingly. I once had to save one from his own apartment, he had burned a roast turkey and then decided to try and put off the fire without asking for my help. So you better not do anything silly like that, always consult your bodyguard.” He was being serious but the way he spoke also allowed for lightness. He did not want her to stop smiling, it was such a wonderful thing to see, he wondered if she truly was not aware how magical her laughter and smile were. Well, for now it seemed she enjoyed being teased but, surely if it was excessive it would stop being funny, like anything else really. But he usually was not this way with other customers, it was just this enchantress who seemed to have put a spell on him or something and now he could not do anything but be himself, his true self, around her. What did she do to him? Did she shoot one of her arrows? She was an archer after all, he smiled softly imagining her dressed as Eros and shooting arrows and shook his head, it was rather funny but elegant at the same time. “I still wish to come with you and ensure you do not cheat when making tea, as you well know my mother owns a restaurant so she taught me well.” Oh it was a mini contest now, but he was grinning now like a young boy. It might as well be a contest, whoever wins gets… a kiss. Wait what? Even so that meant both would win… so it would be a draw regardless of whose tea is better.
A light silence followed and he finally came back to his senses. He looked at Hotori sitting on his bed and he wondered why he had been so daft as to place her on his bed. We’ll, at least they were sitting outside the covers, nothing bad could come from that, but, why did his body and heart do everything at hand to get him closer to Hotori? It was almost as if a great force wanted them to be together and to… remember something. Rekindle? Could it be she was also having old memories brainstorm her mind? His eyes looked into hers, that could explain how sometimes both have reacted strangely, and that time at the garden and here even, when she leaned in to kiss him. Yes, that had to be one of the reasons they attracted one another, there had to be a common bond to them. But he still could not see it and neither could she. “Hotori… Do you… sometimes feel like you can see someone else’s life within you?” It was a strange questions really and he almost face-palmed for speaking at that moment and not controlling what came out of his lips. But well, they agreed to be honest to each other and he was rather curious as to what this constant remembering could be…
When he tried to kiss her he knew he was risking himself, he would have to hope she also developed the same burning emotions for him and also would not think it strange that after such little time spent together, he should have felt this way. But it was difficult to explain, it was as if this feeling had been there within him for many years, as if they had been separated to reunite once more. But it was worth a try, if anything this one time he would give these feelings a chance, something he had never done in all the years he had lived. Well, he did once but that did not end well, and yet, this felt just about right. He knew now that, regardless of the consequences, he did not regret sharing this intimate moment with Hotori and his heart ached for that moment. So he granted himself that one selfish wish, something he had never done before. Was it such a terrible thing to give yourself a treat sometimes? Surely not… He realised heh ad never wanted anything so bad as he wanted Hotori’s affections. But if she id not reciprocated them he would not mind, he would protect her and act as her bodyguard as he had been doing all this time. That was what love truly meant right? Loving others and letting them return the bond if their hearts were inclined to, you could never force someone to feel for you. That was out of the question.
But, to his surprise and awe, she kissed him back. The kiss deepened when she moved closer to him and he felt her warm body inches away from his, her arm moved slowly and elegantly like a snake around a log until it reached around his neck and her other hand caressed his cheek and landed in his heart. This was no dream, both could feel one of the most powerful forces in this world at work. No, neither of them was lying and this was no pathetic union between a bodyguard and his charge, this was fate.
When she pulled back he almost instantly puled her back into a kiss but instead he remained there, was she having second thoughts? No, He felt her rest her head on his chest and he closed his eyes feeling at peace and he held her closely with both of his strong arms and settled into a comfortable position in the bed, he cover the both of them with the blanket and looked down into her eyes. Her beautiful emerald abysses, which now shone brighter than ever…
“Definitely better than an infusion...though I'm not sure it will help me sleep…”
He smirked and allowed their hands to intertwine before he said, “That you do not know, I might be even the best remedy for that Hotori…” her name tasted like honey whenever he said it like that, he smiled and closed his eyes for a brief moment before he held her closer and with one hand he caressed her cheek, looking down into her eyes he leaned forth once more and kissed her lips briefly before leaning his head against hers. “I love you.” He whispered. Would she think him a fool for falling for her so soon.. for saying he loved her? He did not care, he was happy at that moment.

“Some are lazy others start to cook too willingly. I once had to save one from his own apartment, he had burned a roast turkey and then decided to try and put off the fire without asking for my help. So you better not do anything silly like that, always consult your bodyguard.”
"Yes sir!" She replied, still smiling. He then reminded her that he wished to watch her, to make sure she didn't 'cheat' when making tea, reminding him that his mother owned a restaurant. Her eyes sparkled with mirth when she replied. "I may not own a restaurant, but I've been cooking full meals since I was thirteen, and I've been making tea even longer. I think I know my way around the kitchen..." Despite her boastful words, she was still teasing and light, and was glad that Isamu seemed okay with this part of her personality.
“Hotori… Do you… sometimes feel like you can see someone else’s life within you?”
Her brow furrowed as she considered that question. In a way, those flashes of inexplicable memory felt like that, but in another way, they still felt like her life. So the answer was yes, but not really, and that wasn't much of an answer at all. Instead she decided to tell him what little she did know. "The summer that I was eighteen, I got very sick, and there's about three weeks that I can't remember clearly. Ever since then...there have been times that I almost remember something that I couldn't possibly remember...if that makes any sense. Almost like I'm remembering time spent in a different world...but it all still feels like my life. It's just little glimpses here and there...and little fragments of dream, like the one I had tonight, that slip away once I've woken, but they're there, and I've never quite figured what to make of them." She hoped that didn't sound too silly. The last thing she wanted was him thinking she was delusional or something. And yet she had promised to be honest with him, and that was a promise she would cherish and keep.
The kiss was over too soon, and she realized the rest of the world could fade away, for all that she cared, so long as she could stay wrapped up in his arms. She joked about the infusion, and smiled when she saw the smirk play at his lips as he pulled the blanket over them and shifted so that they were more comfortable.
“That you do not know, I might be even the best remedy for that Hotori…”
She smiled as her head rested on his chest, and she allowed her eyes to close, feeling at peace. "Trying to replace my teddy bears, are you? They're softer, but you're certainly warmer..." Was it odd that they had only just met, and yet she felt so close to him already? Perhaps it was, but she really didn't care. Was this...love? Could it really be, after such a short time? But things felt so right, and that word was the closest thing she could thing to describe it. As if his thoughts echoed her own, he kissed her once more before speaking.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Isamu.." She said without hesitation, knowing in her heart that it was true. "I have since I first saw you standing in my hallway..." Although that didn't quite feel right, now as she was nestled up against him. "Longer even, if that's possible." It sounded so foolish to say, and yet she felt she could without fear of him laughing at her.
she was sure that her friends and aunt would not understand, that they'd think it was too soon, and perhaps even that Isamu was taking advantage of her innocent nature-for she realized she did have one, it was why she trusted those around her to help quite her down the right path. Still, she knew with all her heart that what she felt for Isamu was true love, and that he returned those feelings. She knew he would sooner die than take advantage of her, and she knew nothing she could ever find out about him would lessen the feelings of affection she now held so dear. She leaned up and kissed him once more before returning her head to its perch on his chest and giving a small giggle of pure delight. "I love you..." She said once more, and relied she may never tire of saying it.

“Yes sir!”
He smiled and tried to pull a proud grin but then he caressed her long green hair, it was so soft, he knew he would never tired of touching it. He looked at his comb by the side table and picking it up he gently unbraided her hair and then kissed the top of her head before he began to lightly comb her hair, untangling it after her toss and turn in her bed and then ensured to help ease her mind and enjoy the moment. It was said people enjoyed when someone touched their hair, or massaged their head or even just brushed their hair. It was such a simple thing to do but, it was also a very special and intimate moment and Hotori deserved to be happy. He knew this now. It almost felt as if h head done this before, how could this be? He suddenly gasped as he saw his hands, with brown gloves, brushing Hotori’s long green hair, they were inside what looked like a wooden room you would only see in the old films and yet he was feeling the very same thing, yet slightly repressed. What could this all mean? Once he finished he took in the perfume of her hair and embraced her from behind kissing her head and shoulders several times before holding her against him. He truly enjoyed these small moments and if they were only allowed to love one another in Hotori’s… no… their apartment, he would still be happy.
“I may not own a restaurant, but I've been cooking full meals since I was thirteen, and I've been making tea even longer. I think I know my way around the kitchen…”
He chuckled and closed his eyes as he still held her and he finally replied, “I confess I do want to try one of your infusions. And I am sure you are a god cook, maybe one day you could make something with Tuturu-sama, she would love the help and it has been a while since we have cooked anything together, she would love having a daughter if you know what I mean.” He smiled, ever since he met Hotori he was unable to do anything but smile, who was this enchantress that made this warrior weak to the knee where no weapons he possessed could save him from her charms? He looked at her and whispered, “Where do you hail from that you have such a power, sweet enchantress?”
”The summer that I was eighteen, I got very sick, and there's about three weeks that I can't remember clearly. Ever since then...there have been times that I almost remember something that I couldn't possibly remember...if that makes any sense. Almost like I'm remembering time spent in a different world...but it all still feels like my life. It's just little glimpses here and there...and little fragments of dream, like the one I had tonight, that slip away once I've woken, but they're there, and I've never quite figured what to make of them.”
He looked into her eyes, her emeralds, as she spoke and he nodded, “Lately this has happened more and more in my case… it feels like these are memories I hold but yet how could that be my life when it seems to be so different to what I do now?” He smiled and looked away closing his eyes and smirking, “And I thought I had finally lost my mind, yet, it seems this happens to you too… Hotori…” his eyes opened, and he looked deeply into her eyes once more, “Could it be… we had a life together before this? I do know what I feel for you is real but, it seeks like I have held these feelings for far longer…much longer than one age alone.”
”Trying to replace my teddy bears, are you? They're softer, but you're certainly warmer…”
He laughed softly and held her closer, his eyes never leaving hers, “Hotori… I might wish to replace anything just to be with you, as strange as that sounds, I could easily replace anything, I am a professional after all.” He ran a hand down her shoulder as he held her against him and he smiled, “I dare say… you could easily replace a teddy for me anytime…” It was so strange, he had come to this flat a lost soul to simply do his biding as it happened many times before, and yet, now, he also seemed to have found the person he had been unconsciously looking for. What made him think that? He was not at all sure… Maybe the answers to his questions were all found in these memories that seemed to come back to him especially when ver he was next to Hotori.
”I love you too, Isamu…I have since I first saw you standing in my hallway…Longer even, if that's possible.”
He looked at her and his heart skipped a beat and he smiled feeling true joy and bliss, “Hotori…” he whispered and he lifted her chin for their eyes to meet and he closed his to relinquish in the words she uttered minutes ago and he found himself smiling. When his eyes looked back at her they were full of love and the sparkled with affection, “Beloved Hotori…” He leaned forth and kissed her lips once more as if to echo what she had just told him. And he pulled her closer as he kissed her before their lips gently parted and he sighed in delight and comfort. He truly love shaving her nested in his arms, a woman he would love, cherish and protect. The hardships of his life had truly been worthwhile if they all led him to his love.
He closed his eyes when she kissed him again and told him once more that she loved him. It felt so wonderful to hear those three words from the mouth of someone as sweet and loving as Hotori. He smiled hearing her giggle and he slowly closed his eyes, holding her lovingly against him, “Stay with me beloved, all through the night…” he managed to whisper before he finally realised he was drifting to sleep with Hotori wrapped up in his arms.

Hotori felt Isamu begin to comb her hair, and her eyes drifted shut, enjoying the feeling. She felt, faintly, as if she had felt this before...his hands gently moving in her hair, combing it out. In the almost-memory, he tied it up in a manner similar to the way he wore his own, though in the waking world, he did not. She relaxed against him more once he stopped, and kept her eyes closed for a long moment.
“Lately this has happened more and more in my case… it feels like these are memories I hold but yet how could that be my life when it seems to be so different to what I do now? And I thought I had finally lost my mind, yet, it seems this happens to you too… Hotori… Could it be… we had a life together before this? I do know what I feel for you is real but, it seeks like I have held these feelings for far longer…much longer than one age alone.”
"I feel the same way." She admitted gently. She gazed up at him as she spoke. "That has to be the case...nothing else seems to make sense." She couldn't shake the feeling that this had some connection to that time she was sick when she was younger...but what she felt for Isamu was stronger than what three weeks could produce. She chuckled at his comment about her teddy bears. She didn't think she would mind curling up with him instead of her bears. She cuddled closer to him, and allowed her eyes to drift closed once more, resting her head against him as she shifted to slip an arm around him in return. It seemed strange, on one level, to be so sure she was in love with a man she'd only just met, and how she could feel so at ease in his arms. She silently told that, possibly much more logical, part of her brain to shut up and mind its own business. She was happy...and more than that, she felt complete, when she hadn't even known she was incomplete in the first place.
“Stay with me beloved, all through the night…”
"All night and longer..." She mumbled, vaguely aware she was already on her way to sleep once more. "So long as you want me, my love..."
Her dreams were much more peaceful as she returned to that dream world. It was almost like watching her own life, only not. She was dressed in an array of lovely Chinese style dresses, as she almost seemed to be recalling various scenes here and there of that past life she and Isamu seemed to share. The main focus seemed to be a long trip on horseback, as she and Isamu rode, he'd occasionally pick her flowers, or play for her as she sang. He'd also point out rare, beautiful birds and other lovely things. And all the while, he kept his arm around her and she knew she felt as if she belonged there. It was all quite romantic, and she could tell they were both so very much in love, though it seemed they were trying to restrain it. The part of her mind that knew she was dreaming hoped this scene wouldn't abandon her upon waking, as so many dreams did. This was far too lovely to forget.
She also saw flashes of other scenes...what seemed like Isamu pulling them from quicksand, and him brushing her hair and tying it back, as she had felt she remembered when he combed her hair moments earlier. There was also a scene where, it seemed, she was taking a bath, and told Isamu he was too injured to try and preserve her modesty, so he sat down and watched her. It seemed so intimate then, and yet she found herself thinking this intimacy didn't bother her, because she knew he could be trusted, and he would nnot harm her or attempt anything improper. She didn't know how she knew that to be a fact, but she did.
Despite the odd mash-up of memories, and the fact she could somehow tell they weren't presenting themselves in chronological order, they all seemed to be happy or comfortable scenes, and so Hotori rested quite well, curled up in the arms of the man that she loved.

"I feel the same way… That has to be the case...nothing else seems to make sense.”
He smiled and nodded allowing her to move closer to him and embrace him with her arm. He moved a beautiful lock of green hair from her face and then said, “Maybe we will find out together, I have an idea… Whenever one of us comes across those memories, we must tell one another, write them down even, that will help us learn who we are, or at least what we had in the past. But we must promise that whatever it was it will not affect our feelings for each other but rather help us.” He honestly did not want to lose what he now had with Hotori, she was such a wonderful person he truly did not want her to suddenly disappear form his life one day. It was a bit scary to consider how deeply in love both were when they had only met that day, but if their thoughts were correct and they had been together for longer than they now knew, then these feelings, this closeness made a lot of sense. He smiled down at her and could hardly wait to get to the bottom of this, for he had a feeling it would help their relationship be much stronger.
"All night and longer… So long as you want me, my love…”
He smiled and whispered, “Forever…” Yes, he wanted her close to him forever. He wanted to wake up everyday to find her smile at him, to caress her lovely hair and share the laughter and sorrows of every single day they lived. He was certain this which had abided in his heart for a very, very long time. Why or how he was not sure but he allowed it to take the form of the emotions they now shared and hoped that it would lead them to a beautiful future. He held her to him and fell asleep almost instantly to the constant breathing of her heart and the warmth of her body against his. It felt like a very long night but he slept at peace and that one night he had no dreams or nightmares, instead he rested happily and even as he woke up the morning after, he still had a smile on his face.
In fact he looked down to ensure he had not been dreaming. And here she was still. Sleeping in his embrace and he smiled warmly and held her against him and kissed her forehead before he slowly moved away from her and reaching out he took her teddy and examined the necklace for a moment and then smiling he placed it in her arms and then left the bed. He took a shower in his onsite bathroom and got dressed with a pair of dark purple leather trousers and a black silken shirt. He folded the sleeves to his elbows and then he tied his hair in the usual ponytail and fixed his fringe. He stretched before he left the bedroom and closed the door behind him. He walked to the kitchen and prepared some breakfast depending on what he found in the kitchen. He made some porridge with blueberries, raspberries, crumbs and honey on top and served it on two plates making it look quite elegant. He also poured some orange juice in two glasses and made vanilla coffee for the both of them. Just as he busied himself with that he came to realise that the necklace, that rock, had the same colour as his eyes. What a coincidence right?
He shrugged and then poured some water in a glass and he drank it. Looking down he saw Hotori’s cat and he served breakfast for her as well and caressed her tail before he then moved to the living room and began to play a relaxing tune he had learned many years ago in the piano, although his weapon of choice was the harp he did not want to annoy Hotori if she still needed some sleep, she still had fifteen more minutes of sleep if she so wished.

“Maybe we will find out together, I have an idea… Whenever one of us comes across those memories, we must tell one another, write them down even, that will help us learn who we are, or at least what we had in the past. But we must promise that whatever it was it will not affect our feelings for each other but rather help us.”
"I promise." Hotori made a serious promise, for the second time that night, without hesitation, and with all sincerity. Lying in Isamu's arms, she wasn't afraid to find out what those missing pieces meant, so long as they were finding out together. Something deep inside told her that those memories, whatever they might hold, would only deepen her love for Isamu, and could do nothing to lessen it. It was easy to make a promise that was easy to keep, and this promise, like trusting him and never lying to him, would be effortless to keep. Telling him these memories, and not letting them dampen the love she felt, were almost as instinctual as breathing.
She awoke slowly and peacefully, and snuggled into the pillow for a few moments. She could hear faint, beautiful piano music, and the bed was so warm and cozy... Slowly, memories of the previous night filtered through her mind. She had fallen asleep in Isamu's arms, after professing their mutual love. That hadn't been a dream...had it?
She bolted upright in bed, realizing first that she was alone, save for one of her bears. Perhaps it had been a dream after all? No...no, this wasn't her bedroom. This was Isamu's room, and she was in Isamu's bed...surely that meant it hadn't all been a dream. She pulled back the covers and sat up on the side of the bed, placing her bare feet on the floor. She looked down at Sir Teddy once more, and gazed at the necklace around his neck. A memory came to her...she had given a similar nexklace to that past Isamu...as some sort of thank you. She'd wanted to give him a gift because...because he had given her that bear. There was more to it than that...but it was still quite foggy. She smiled as a thought came to her, and she removed the necklace, placing the bear on the bed before she finally stood and padded quietly out of his room. She realized instantly that he had fixed breakfast for them, and she smiled when she found him seated at her piano. "It doesn't count as playing for me if I'm asleep through most of it..." She teased softly as she came to stand behind him, gently stroking his cheek as she looked at him with a warm smile. "Good morning, my love..."
She moved so that she was facing him before she leaned in and kissed him softly. As she did, her hands moved to tie the necklace around his neck so that it hung at the same level it had in that recently recovered memory. She hoped he would not mind as she leaned back and placed a hand over the amber colored stone. "It's such a pretty color..." She said, feeling as though she had said that-or something similar-before.
"I had...memories..." She said, touching his cheek gently before reluctantly moving away, her stomach growling to lure her toward the breakfast. "I'll tell you while we eat." It would have been an odd way to start a conversation, had she not recalled what they had spoken about just before falling asleep in each others' arms. "I think...you gave me my bear...the little one." She nodded toward his room to further indicate which one she meant. "And I gave you a necklace like that to thank you for it..." She paused to greet Aya, scratching her ears lovingly before continuing, not that there was much more to say. "I think...there was mmore, but it still isn't clear..."
Once he joined her so they could sit down and eat, she took in the lovely plate, which looked far more elegant than her usual solo breakfast of cereal and fruit. She smiled up at him, still feeling the playfulness they had discovered the night before. "Handsome, intelligent, multi-talented, good with animals, and you cook." She counted on her fingers as she listed just a few of his wonderful traits. "If this really isn't a dream, I'll have to hurry up and marry you before someone steals you away." She couldn't help but giggle, her eyes sparkling with mirth as she looked over at him.
It was almost bizarre how normal it felt to wake up to him there, considering this was technically his first morning in her apartment. She enjoyed the breakfast, which was quite delicious, and enjoyed simply being in his presence. Part of her wanted to skip her class and just stay in all day with Isamu, but she knew Haru would worry, and come to check on her. And then the teasing would begin, and while she didn't mind his teasing, she wasn't ready for him to poke fun at this new-found happiness. She would have enough questions to answer since she hadn't called him back the night before.
"Thank you for breakfast, Isamu. It's wonderful. As soon as we finish eating, I'll go get ready for class." She informed him as she looked at the clock on the wall. If she was walking, she'd have to rush, but since she had a ride from now on-a thought that still made her smile-she didn't have to worry quite so much. She had plenty of time to shower and dress.

"I promise"
Most persons made promises lightly, they did not seem to care for the actual meaning of such a promise but rather spoke without feeling the words uttered. And that was a grave offence against the other person. At times it would be best if they were honest and did not make promises they did not plan to keep. Many problems would be reduced if honesty was in every person's heart and mind before they spoke. But, Isamu trusted Hotori's word. For some reason, despite the fact that they had come across each other the night before, he was certain he could trust her and her word. It was strange how a person could affect you so much as to limit your judgement, but he suspected Hotori was all good influence for him. she had yet to let him down but he knew, in his heart, that these emotions had come from longer than both of them realised and they would do their best to find out together, and he had to confess, it was a rather appealing thought for him, since he had been dreaming about Hotori, or rather reliving moments that only gave him joy. So he could hardly wait to discover all he could about their past life together and that would probably hold the answer to many things he still did not understand in this modern world. Like, the fact that he had only just now come across his love.
His hands caressed the keys as gently as when he played his harp and yet they strengthened whenever playing forte parts from the melody he knew by heart. His foot gently moved with the rhythm and stepped on the pedal with precision and it was then he heard noise in his bedroom and he smiled. He had to stop himself from rushing to her side once more, she had lessons and that would only delay her. Instead he ensured to play as nicely as his abilities allowed to have her enjoy the music while she left the room and perhaps got ready for classes. His eyes looked away from the window the moment he felt her approach, his deep amber eyes met her emerald ones as she touched his cheek and he sighed in happiness. Truly, waking up to such a sight was true bliss for him…
"It doesn't count as playing for me if I'm asleep through most of it... Good morning, my love…”
“Good morning… enchantress…” He smiled as his eyes lingered in hers for a while longer before he slowly finished the melody, his hands moved with great grace and emotion as he played on. She truly was an enchantress in his eyes, a beautiful woman with great power who charmed him upon their first meeting. His eyes softened in the feeling of the melody as he reached the final arpeggio and then consummated the song before he turned to look at her once more, “Then I shall play to your enjoyment when you get back form your lessons. If it pleases you…”
He noticed she moved to face him and he lightly turned an angle in his seat to face her direction. He watched her lean in and he lifted his face and closed his eyes in anticipation to the delightful feeling of her lips against his. His hands moved to coop her cheeks as they kissed although he was aware of her doing something to his neck. When the kiss broke he looked down and saw the same necklace he had seen around her teddy’s neck and he was a bit shocked and when she placed he hand on it and said it was a pretty colour he felt as if he were in a dark room, yet, Hotori was standing next to him and she was holding that necklace and it shone with the same intensity his amber eyes did. She said she had thought about him and had bought it although he could tell there were other reasons behind this present he accepted gladly, feeling he had part of Hotori in that necklace and it made him smile…
But then, he sensed he had the same reaction as he did when Hotori first gave him the necklace and he blushed a deep red. His eyes looked into hers and he slowly stood up, “You really like that colour?” Not many were fond of amber tones, to be honest, in fact most people kept getting the colour of his eyes wrong. He caressed her cheek and looked deeply into her eyes and he smiled when eh heard her speak again.
“I had…memories... I'll tell you while we eat.”
He smiled, “I did too…” He chuckled at the sound of her hungry stomach and followed her to the kitchen, he sat next to her and then drank his orange juice. He could not deny he was also hungry, and so he enjoyed his share of the breakfast before he served the coffee, he made one capuchino for each of them and then he motioned toward the sugar for her to indicate how many drops she liked, if she had any in her coffee. He listened silently as she spoke.
“I think...you gave me my bear...the little one… And I gave you a necklace like that to thank you for it… I think...there was more, but it still isn't clear…”
It was then he suddenly had a flashback of the moment he bought the bear and without realising, his eyes shone and he spoke while he witnessed the scene, he spoke of him waiting outside a shop while she bought some new clothes and he spotted the bear in a shop, and he thought he could easily buy it and not lose her from his sight… But then, he sensed something, a presence… and she was no longer there… He also spoke of the moment he gave her the bear, he was lying on a pool of his own blood, but his injuries were being tended to. And Hotori had been looking after him… He blinked, looked to the side and wondered where that had come from… He sighed and ran a hand through his dark fringe before he stood up having finished his coffee and then placed his dishes in the sink and washed them quite fast. It was an advantage to having a mother that owned a restaurant, right? It was then that Hotori took him off guard.
”Handsome, intelligent, multi-talented, good with animals, and you cook… If this really isn't a dream, I'll have to hurry up and marry you before someone steals you away.”
He blushed deeply and looked away from her eyes in embarrassment. He rubbed the back of his neck, “Hotori… no one ever showed the interest you have…” He knelt right next to her and took her hand, his eyes glittered with affection as he whispered, “no one will ever take your place. If we shared a deep bond in the past and have finally found each other again, I do not plan to let you go…never…never again.” And he would gladly challenge whoever he had do, in order to keep her with him. He kissed the back of her hand and slowly stood up with a smile, “Besides, I do not think anyone would appreciate a sudden wedding with a complete stranger, at least those that know us must expect us to date for a bit… Although, whichever way I still win, because I get to spend more time with the most beautiful singer I have ever met…” His hand gently moved to the back of her neck and he pulled her into a passionate kiss but it did not last long. He did not want to distract her form her duties.
“Thank you for breakfast, Isamu. It's wonderful. As soon as we finish eating, I'll go get ready for class.”
He smiled, “As you wish.” He waited for her to finish her breakfast and then he took her places and washed them as fast as she had eaten. He then turned to look at her and asked, “Do you take any food to your University or do you usually come here and eat?” He finished drying the dishes and placing them in their respective cupboards. He then allowed her to go take a shower and then he walked to the main balcony and looked at the bright blue sky, it would be a very nice day it seemed…
